Scott Lamps is a composer based out of Madison, WI. In addition to composing for screen and stage, Scott is a performer, producer, and songwriter. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a composition degree, Scott honed his skills as a musician and producer with The Profits, one of Madison's most successful college bands. After three years of work with The Profits, Scott moved to Chicago where he worked with the Quest Theatre Ensemble, scored various films, and opened the Studio of Light! Scott returned to Madison to escape "big city life" and now works at DNA Studios. Currently, Scott is a contestant on Triple M's first Project M- a reality show that judges musicians based on their songwriting and performance abilities.

Scott Lamps Biography
Scott Lamps is a music composer and songwriter in Madison, WI, USA. He grew up in Neenah, WI, where he played and wrote music from a young age. Through the years he has played piano, clarinet, saxophone, flute, guitar, upright bass and cello.
After graduating with a degree in music composition in 2003, Scott was published for the first time in 2004 when his song "Let Me Lay My Head" was published in Nashville. Since then, he has written and collaborated on over 200 compositions.
In 2007, Scott wrote the music for a full-length adaptation of Sword in the Stone that was premiered by the Quest Theatre Ensemble in Chicago. He has scored several independent films including American Renaissance, Running Home, and Outside In and written themes for television shows and commercials.
His first album of songs was released in 2007, titled Music is Art. The collection includes "Let Me Lay My Head" and contains the unmistakable melody and lyrical sincerity that pervades Scott's work.
Travels was released in 2009. It showcases Scott's seldom heard piano skills, simply juxtaposed with the baritone of his voice. Travels features songs like "LA," "Those Days" and "Cannon Loose."
Scott's work as a producer tends toward arranging as he unifies the deepens sound of the artists with whom he works. His expansive understanding of music, his use of stringed instruments and vocals, and his unconventional mic-ing techniques give his work a distinctive sound that is raw, energized and organic.
A practicer of Zen for 15 years, Scott is a believer in Simplicity, Purity, Beauty, Joy and Experience.
