Rockin’ Ryan started his first band, Rockin’ Ryan and His Round Up Boys, in 1996. The band played wild 50's style rock n’ roll and rockabilly for over two years before they called it quits. Ryan than DJ’d at LA’s Be Bop Battlin’ Ball Rockabilly club, where he was hooked up with the line up that recorded the band’s first record “You Wanted More Wild Rock n’ Roll…” by Hollywood’s #1 rock n’ roll sleaze ball Vito Lorenzi in 1999. The band’s name was changed to Rockin’ Ryan and The Real Goners and featured Jerome Van Gasteren on Guitar, Jack Fire on Upright Bass and Wade Glen on Drums. The band was the house band at the Be Bop Battlin’ Ball Rockabilly club and backed names such as Joe Clay, Rudy Grayzelle, Johnny Powers, Glen Glenn, Gene Summers, and Don and Dewey to name a few. The band played extensively in the Southwest and was featured at Viva Las Vegas in 2000.
