El Piano de Los Andes
Ruddy Franco was born in La Paz, Bolivia in 1979. He began his piano studies at the age of 7, played and performed many solo recitals and accompaning international and national musicians in chamber music. Since 2005 he began concert tours perfoming recitals and piano concertos in South America. He was invited as soloist with the Bolivian National Symphony Orchestra in the "National young talents concert" and from 1999 to 2003 he was the official pianist of that insitution. He also played as soloist with the Trujillo Symphony Orchestra, Arequipa Symphony Orchestra and Loyola Symphonietta. He was distinguished by the Bolivian government for his brillant artistic development, and by the Peruvian National Institute of Culture for his continuous support to the artistic manifestations, preserving the national cultural patrimony. As composer, many of his works were performed by the finest Bolivian chamber music emsembles and soloists, he also composed the sountrack for the short film "Entremedio", winner of the first prize of short film contest "CONACINE".
In 2008, he recorded a Piano solo album of Bolivian folk music of composer V.J.Garcia
Ruddy Franco was comisioned to write the oficial song for the "Maya Prizes 2009".
