Recovery Period was formed in the Fall of 2002 out of Long Beach, Mississippi. The trio consists of Mitchell Gruich on guitar/vox, Andrew Baker on drums and Jared Moran on bass/throat. Inspired by everything from grindcore to punk to metal, the three bring together a unique sound that many have compared to aggressive indie-rock. Prefering to focus on obscure topics unregarded in the mainstream, the band deliberately combines their mix of dynamic compositions with intensely emotioinal charged performances. The Recovery Period are currently working on writing new material for an upcoming full length, releasing several e.p.s and weekend touring in the SE and Midwest throughout the rest of the year.
