Manhattan born ASCAP songwriter/guitarist Ray Rivera is a World Music artist in the style of Santana, the Neville Brothers, and Los Lobos. He blends the blues, soul, and progressive rock with the driving rhythms of Cuba and Brazil into his own original American compositions. Ray's music has been played on radio and television in the U.S and Europe and has reached national status on the "Dateline" NBC show. Ray's adult contemporary instrumental "Song For Joanne" has been packaged by An'R Publications with 4 CD's worth of original music from around the world and introduced at the POPKOMM festival in Berlin, Germany in December 2004. Ray is also winner of Billboard's Achievement Awards for his songs "Oh! Maria" and "Between Two Mountains". Ray has made the Top 10 at Broadjam for his songs "Rainbow Fantasie" and "Samba Mama".

Ray is currently working in his studio recording over a dozen new original songs. Two records will be pressed and released by early next year that will include new arrangements of some older material. The records will be published by Moncho Music ASCAP.
