Paul Schneider's old band, Rivington, lived shortly on Epic records from 1999-2000. The relationship bore "Happy on a Sliding Scale", produced by Ted Niceley (Fugazi, Jawbox) and self-released in 2001 to success on the CMJ Charts. A solo debut (Paul Schneider - "Escape Velocity") was released in 2003 to critical acclaim and college and specialty radio success in 2003. The record was lauded by such tastemaker sites as Pitchforkmedia.com and CMJ.com in the US and No Ripcord and Logo Magazine in the UK. Solo and full band tours in support of the the record drew enthusiastic responses across the US, UK and Germany. The record is available at paulschneidermusic.com.
