"The smartest hip-hop band in the land... heady grooves, smart samples, funkery, & melodic pop partying let their songs function equally as mosh-pit anthems and intense sophisticated gut-punches."

“The band incorporates doses of booty-moving funk, chilled-out reggae and smoothed-out jazz to the mix, laying down the perfect accompaniment for Woodz to rhyme over. Woodz' raps are smooth and spot on, displaying skill and pizzazz behind the mic. Like all good MCs, he never misses a beat and easily gets the crowd up and partying.”
-Thomas Pizzola - Hartford Advocate - 1/22/04
“The best music to come out of Boulder in years.”
- Rob Thomas - Mgr. Fox Theatre
"Live, Ordinary K are truly one of the best bands I have seen. Woodz contols the stage inciting the crowd into a dance riot...solid command of set lists...dance floors are typically packed."
- Matt Hall - Soundboard mag.

Bio
Formed in '99 Ordinary K rose out of the definitely non hip-hop/rock scene of Boulder, CO. They cut squarely against the grain, consistently selling out the Fox Theatre while building a huge following in Colorado and beyond. In Fall 2003 with a Budweiser "True Music Live" sponsorship in their back pocket, Ordinary K left the friendly confines of Boulder and made a break for their East Coast roots with a move to NYC.
In their Brooklyn base Ordinary K has already built up an impressive following in both NYC and Boston, filling rooms like the Lion's Den and the Middle East. Throughout their travels OK has performed w/ Rahzel (of the Roots), Blackalicious, and Doug E. Fresh, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Galactic, Ozomatli and Soulive, while enjoying guest performances from DJ Logic and Carlos Washington Jr. Tracks from "sidebyeach" have been selected for compilation discs and appeared on Warren Miller's ski epic "The Storm." With the relaese of "The Naked EP", radio spots, and extensive touring the OK Crew is expanding it's presence internationally.
Ordinary K is: Todd Woodward (vocals), James Walton (keys), Jeremy Bretey (drums), Michael Bartholomew (guitar) & Jean Perron (bass).
