Bio
In a time of multiple choices when it comes to singer-songwriters and guitar-based vocal artists, one could wonder just how anyone could stand out in the sea of many. To use the conventional promotional plans is to place your talents and gifts at the mercy of a fickled public and their ever changing ideas of what's in and what's not. But if you're Luke Carter of Monroe, Georgia and you've traveled this musical road since the age of 14, publishing your first EP (Heather) at 15, now, at age of 27, you might need more than the world's comparisons to other artist as a promotional tool. You know the bios that read, "if you mix a little Jeremy Camp with Keith Green, you get so and so new artist!"
In a world of sameness, there's a unique voice named Luke.
A singer, instrumentalist and producer, Luke is clear with intention, this time around, as he prepares his new songs for a broader audience. His desire and calling is to present to the world at large a simple and humble understanding of redemption and grace, in his well-crafted songs.
Luke released a CD in 2000, prophetically entitled "Willing", and released the EP "Eternally" in the spring of 2004.
Today, Luke continues to work on new material as he continues to record in Galilee Studios, his home based studio, becoming more educated at recording, which naturally allows him to have a greater impact on the quality of his work for the kingdom. Perhaps soon you might see him in performance at The Earl in East Atlanta or Eddie's Attic in Decatur, all Georgia based venues he's frequented since his debut in 1997. But understand that if you do, you're in for a life altering experience. He wouldn't have it any other way.
