I am a gringa that found an interest in Latin American politics, leading me to learn Spanish some years ago, leading to living in Mexico for a chunk of time, leading me to discover the beauty and stimulation attached to writing in Spanish. I play with my guitarist and partner Colin Boyd. Our shows are high-quality and rockin, sure to draw in any bystander and make a loyal fan out of them.

EPK Bio

Backgrounder: Lauren Adelle
Blues-pop-rock singer Lauren Adelle, who sings and writes her own songs in English and Spanish, will release her first album Mi Amor in January 2010 with partner Colin Boyd, Dallas-based blues-rock icon. Lauren Adelle began her singing career in July 2005 after singing improv with future partner, Boyd, at Dallas Mexican restaurant and landmark J. Pepe's.
After meeting Boyd and recording a few of her songs with him, Lauren Adelle performed with Boyd at a blues improv at Greenville Bar & Grill in October 2005, and they began consistently booking performances together as a duo. Lauren Adelle performs with Boyd at a variety of events and venues, including upscale restaurants, dive bars, benefits, private parties and weddings, and the duo charges $200 to $800, depending on the performance.
In 2000, Lauren Adelle began recording with producers such as Joe Castillo, music producer for M Street Records, Grab Recordings, and Sony Music and R&B producer Gregory Keys. After meeting Boyd in 2005, Lauren Adelle felt that she finally had the right person that could give her guidance as well as compliment her original material. In June of 2009, Adelle began teaching herself guitar and writing for several albums, including an acoustic album in Spanish, expected to be released in late 2010.
Former Dallas Cowboys player and legend Herschel Walker invested in Lauren Adelle's first demo CD and press materials in 2006, and in the following year, Lauren Adelle recorded a demo song for former True Rutz CEO Jimmy Estrada, who later sold the song to a signed artist for a Los Angeles-based label. Dragon Street Records President David Dennard, who has produced groups such as The Dixie Chicks and Tripping Daisy, approached Lauren Adelle after hearing her perform at the 2008 White Rock Festival and asked her to record with him.
While pursuing her singing career, Lauren Adelle also studied Advertising and Spanish at University of Arlington and worked at a restaurant. After graduating in May 2008 and taking a break from singing, Lauren Adelle traveled to Mexico to study Mexican politics and poverty and later returned to Dallas in January 2009 to finish her Mi Amor album.
Lauren Adelle hopes to establish a fan base with Mi Amor and use her singing and songwriting abilities to possibly achieve other humanitarian and political goals in the future.
