Hk Christie writes music with strong roots in alternative county, blues and rock influences. Christie’s songs are intelligent, stripped down, soulful journeys that take you through Americana’s lost highways and uncharted gravel roads. Her writing style is reminiscent of Lucinda Williams, The Jayhawks and Shelby Lynne.

Although primary a songwriter, Christie’s voice is as warm and gritty as the summertime farmland from which she came. She was discovered by fellow tunesmith Kevin Bowe, who has written for the Grammy award winning albums of Etta James and Jonny Lang. Bowe later produced Christie’s self-released debut album, Poets and Prophets, which was released in 2004.
