GOO is a crazy cool blend of retro-funky rock and roll with a psychedelic twist. Stephen and Lara created GOO in 2005 as a collaborative, home based writing and recording project to pass the long wet winters on an island at the far edge of the world. 3 years later, they are still at it- crafting their own uniquely playful brand of music and having more fun than a barrel of lab monkeys. Stephen adds voice,guitar,lyrics,synths, knobs and dials, drums, writing and arranging. Lara adds bass, writing, arranging and gorgeous, soulful vocals. C'mon! Take a swim in the GOO!

Lara Carter

Lara Carter is a talented multi-instrumentalist and vocal artist who is well experienced in live performance and the recording arts. Beside an 8-year stretch as guitar player for a happening Vancouver rock band, Lara has created many original compositions for film, TV, theater and dance. Lara hopes one day to write a rock opera and master a 5-finger roll on the banjo. Right now, she's just diggin' the bass.

Song writing is a liberating form of expression for Stephen allowing him to indulge and combine his love for rock and roll with a background in film to create extravagant, cinematic songs that will rock yer socks.
