Failing Sun is a Hard Rock band from Southern California heavily influenced by The Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, and Audioslave. They recently finished recording their debut record, VOID, for RHOMBUS RECORDS which includes tracks co-produced by Doug Grean (Scott Weiland, Velvet Revolver, The Color Turning).Failing Sun marries heavy riffs with lush, ethereal, instrumentation to create a solid platform for the enthralling, at times "other worldly", vocals to jump off from. Failing Sun is not reinventing the wheel, but rather building on what came before them, using their brand of Hard Rock to continue to move the genre forward in a fresh and interesting way. Their debut album was released on December 7, 2010.
