After a successful four year stint as the frontman for the band Sisera Fell, Derek stepped away choosing to develop his own songwriting skills, favoring distinguishable melodies and rhythmic touch over the eclectic rock-driven sound of the band. While occasionally calling on the many incredibly talented musicians he’s been blessed to play with over the years, he also feels entirely content with just his Yairi acoustic, a mic and the audience, often letting the songs go where the mood of the room takes them.
