A little background on ya boi.

DecaGon AKA -Gon, is an American underground hip-hop artist/performer, as well as an aspiring voice actor and author. He chose the name DecaGon because of the American Heritage Dictionary definition of both the words, decagon, and the suffix, -gon. According to the dictionary, a decagon is a polygon with ten sides, and the suffix, -gon, is given to a figure having a designated number of angles. DecaGon prides himself as being a performer of several different genres of music. As well as an entertainer with skills in the various mediums of the entertainment business.

-Gon, hails from the streets of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. And even before hip-hop, DecaGon was involved in music; he is an alumnus of the nationally known, AAMI (The Afro-American Music Institute). At a young age DecaGon began competing in talent contest, impressing judges across the east coast. A quadruple threat: writer, rapper, actor and vocalist; it isn't hard to understand why. However ... though DecaGon's talents promised a grand future, life was not easy. A high school drop-out and former drug-dealer, DecaGon also became a father at a fairly young age. His being someone that believes in putting family first & above all things, is the reason for his departure from the music business. A business that he once believed was a, "single mans business".

Nevertheless, in 2004 DecaGon reunited with acting and his music. And after an unsuccessful attempt to form a rap group, DecaGon decided to become a solo rap artist. That's around the time that DecaGon's music became the only product that he'd sell, "I'M A FULL TIME HUSTLA, DON'T NOTHIN CHANGE BUT THE PRODUCT. SO YOU KNOW I GOT YOU. WHATEVER YOU WANT ... COME SEE ME ... THATS MY APPROACH TO MUSIC". His first demo included three songs ("I'll Have You Sayin", "Steel City Party", and "Tha Caper") that would later be added to his debut album, 'Tha Cataclysm'.
