J. D. Harris is made up of Jack Harris and Debra Moore. They have been working and playing together since 1990. Jack is a guitar player/singer/producer/songwriter who also plays keyboards and programs drums and percussion. He owns a banjo. Debra is a bass player/song writer who also sings and plays piano, cello, flute and (lately) drums. She does not own a banjo. Jack has a rock and roll heart, but finds room for blues, country, world, reggae, pop, jazz and folk as well. Debra is most at home writing folk and alternative lyrics and rhythmic music - the latter a consequence of years playing in an Afrobeat band and various reggae bands. Oh yes, there was that middle eastern band they were in.
