Darren McIlroy is a singer/songwriter based in Glasgow. Since a very early age Darren has been writing poetry and song lyrics which have evolved dramatically since teaching himself guitar and hitting the acoustic scene 3 years ago. Darren's guitar style is very much his own, entwining his unigue guitar picking style with story based lyrics of every day life and matter. Since hitting the scene, Darren has played many high profile gigs including The Tron Theatre in Glasgow. Darren was also a finalist in this years competition by Rizla to play the Isle Of Wight Festival and has had his song Babydoll released on the compilation album "Decade" through Burning Haggis Records. Darren is finishing the final touches on his debut album "Suicide Coast" which will be released later this year.
