Xolani, I just LOVE your reviews! They're the best ever. I wrote Porch Swing for a little old lady named Mary Sauls. My husband and I had just moved to the little country town of Callahan, FL. He began pastoring a little country church. I took a walk one day and met Mary. We got acquainted on her porch swing and became the best of friends. I wrote the song for her. I have an album called Porch Swing and she and I are on the cover. Eventually we moved out of that tumbledown parsonage and built our own home nearby. We called it Porch Swing Place in honor of the Porch Swing lady. And we installed a porch swing on our front porch. One of the saddest days of my life was the day I went jogging and saw the police cars out in front of Mary's. She fell down in the bathroom & went home to be with Jesus at age 97. I tell her story and sing her song at a lot of my performances. Thank you for honoring my song with your review! I feel like we are musical friends...you understand my songs! Thank you! Mrs. Kate

Hello X2K, Thanks for your insightful review of Manners Rap. I appreciate the fact that you appreciated it for what it is. There have been a lot of reviews on that song by "real rappers" and they give it pretty low reviews. After all, I am an old lady, right? Ha Ha. For most of my career I have been motivating elementary school students with my Motivate with Mrs. Kate character-building program. We moved to Indiana (from FL) in the midst of the pandemic. I have earnestly tried to restart my career in the Midwest with limited success. I can get the preschool, day camp and senior gigs, but the doors to elementary schools seem almost slammed shut. I am actually thinking of volunteering to do free programs (I have already done some of them) because this is my passion and I don't "need" the money that much. Anyway, I won't be re-recording the song, but if I did, I would certainly take your advice! Gratefully, Mrs. Kate

Hello X2K, thanks for the GREAT review of Google it. That was one of the most thorough, thoughtful reviews I have ever received on BJ, and I have had a lot. Your ideas are terrific. I most likely will not redo the song because I am 72 and at this point in my career, I am closing the studio chapter of my life, unless the Lord directs differently. But I am still writing and just presenting on you tube and performing live lots. That's my true passion. I hope I get to review some of your tunes soon. Mrs. Kate
