Finally got to listen to Rainy Day Blues. I like it! It's kinda long, but I can see you were having fun with every verse. Liked the dip away from the "a" word, ha ha. A lot of artists do that and it's a funny touch. Your friend (currently in MN) Mrs. Kate

Thank you, Rena, for your positive review of my song, "Little One". The child referenced in the song represented the loss to all of us of the millions of aborted children throughout the world who could have changed the future of humanity. I truly believe that they are all in the loving arms of Jesus, as is a grandchild of ours that we lost due to a miscarriage.

Thank you, Rena. My friend, Doug McCulley wrote the lyrics and performed the vocals for this song. I helped him with the melody and put together the musical accompaniment. I will pass your compliments along to him. Tom McCue

John, I just finally now got a chance to listen to Little One. Powerful! Wow! I hope a lot of people get to hear it and will learn to value the life of every human child. I just sent a listening link to 2 of my friends who work in a pro-life clinic. Keep up the good work, okay? Your friend in FL, Mrs. Kate PS I am so glad you like my songs, and esp. the Potty Training song. Please send your email address to me at MrsKateC@aol.com if you are not on my mailing list already, I'd like to get you on there.

Thanks, Kate, for taking the time to listen to this song, and especially for passing on the link. I'm hoping to get the song as widespread as possible, not to toot my own horn, but to get this very important message out. Hopefully someone who is contemplating abortion will hear it and change their mind. I'm considering making it a free download if I see enough interest.

Can't go wrong with that (free download). Another way would be to somehow get it on youtube with good key words.

Hi, Kate. I've been sitting here listening to some of your songs and having a great time doing it. I especially got a kick out of "The Potty Training Song". You really have a talent and it is easy to see why you would connect with kids (and their parents).

You reviewed my song "C'mon Grandpa" a while ago, which I greatly appreciated. I just posted a new song titled "Little One". It is also about a child, but much different in subject matter than the previous one. I hope you might have a chance to listen to it sometime and see what you think.

Keep up the good work.

Well done. I like the interplay and variety of the various instruments. There is a lot going on, but all the voices stand out clearly without stepping on each other. Good background music to listen to as I watch the Cubs beating the Dodgers :)

You have a great voice and a very classic feel to your music

Thank you for your review of C'mon Grandpa, a song I wrote primarily for all of us grandparents coping with the issues that come with babysitting toddlers. Although I have received highly positive reviews and remarks from those who have heard the song, I also realize that we all have different tastes in music which I assume reflects the 1s that you gave it. I did, however, find your comments to be mostly positive and I thank you for them.

I am so sorry I was trying to give high marks because I actually liked the song ! You are not the first one to say I gave low scores so I do apologize but I'm not quite sure how the ratings system works still

Understood. Actually, after rereading your review, I find it to be very acceptable and helpful. Getting honest input from other musicians is the best way to improve my craft. I am somewhat limited with the production as I cannot afford a professional studio and do all my recording and production on my home computer. The bottom line is that I do it primarily for the fun of it and I appreciate folks like you taking the time to listen to and review my songs.

Hi, Kate. Thanks for your review of my song "C'mon Grandpa". It was a fun song to write and my 3 year old granddaughter is a treasure chest of song ideas. I appreciate your suggestions regarding the production and instrumentation and will take them into account should I re-record the song. Regarding the genre, I was having a hard time myself trying to classify it, and I agree that it could fall into folk as much as the other genres. Simple guitar accompaniment would make it even more so. Thanks for your opinion.

Thanks, Joe, for your review. I'm glad you liked the song (Something 'Bout the Rain). My friend Doug McCulley wrote the lyrics and performed the lead vocals, and I acted as a "one man band" providing all the instrument tracks, backup harmonies, and production in my small home studio. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun too. I hope to have more in the future. Thanks again. Tom

Thank you for your review. I agree that different instrumentation would add a different flavor to the song, which actually falls somewhere between country and pop. Steel guitar and/or fiddle parts would bring it more into the country realm, but I am a "one man band" working in a small home studio and I used all the instruments that I'm capable of playing, so I guess this version leans more toward pop. Thanks again for your comments.

Hi, Joe.
I enjoyed hearing and reviewing your song. I listened to several other songs on your page. Nice variety of music. Good luck with your songs and keep up the good work.

I just submitted a remix of a song I put on Broadjam about five or six years ago. It just went out for review, so I'm anxious to see some comments. I do all the production in my home studio using Cakewalk Sonar (still working my way up the learning curve) and the reviews are great for helping me to improve my work.
