Sam, Too Young to Know is chillingly, hauntingly beautiful. Yes, I have wounds, they have made me a Good Man down a hard road. Sending you a Friend request to help get your plays up.
Thanks Nick. Thank you for listening. Please find my page on facebook and spread the word. Help is greatly appreciated
Hi Roy. It's great to see you involved in this way. I suppose it can't hurt to ask you to review this song whenever you get around to it. http://www.broadjam.com/transmit/index.php?txygnbz=79331&chkldsxv1=A57D79B322&yhgbndsq=1 1 Thanks, Sam
Great pickin' intro, very good drum groove. It cuts off very abruptly at 18 seconds when the vocal enters and I'm not sure it works, but the more I listened the more it grew on me. I do like the powerful presence of the vocal. However, it may be better to put a partial drum track with the groove until the vocal is finished with the first verse.....Good lyric that matches this voice perfectly. Very interesting vocal intervals. "Long way down" is very well done. Moving down the scale and singing these words is perfect. Very Bach-like in concept. Really captures the listener....Love the change at 45 seconds, this is a very unique vocal tone. Voice is so unique that the song loses a little as soon as the singer quits singing, like at 1:01....Phrasing is phenomenal. It picks up at 1:41 with a great groove at the chorus....Not sure the guitar part works at the breaks (1:58 and others) or if it's just my taste.....Choral sounds at 2:09 are very effective.....I kinda like the Na Nas at the end. Maybe use the guitar to play this melody earlier in the song where the current guitar breaks are found. It may work. This is one of those songs that you walk away from thinking it's really good, but you probably will remember the voice more than the song. Very unique delivery. I love it and added to my rock playlist....Hope this helps. Thanks for bringing this song to Broadjam....Roy http://www.broadjam.com/player/player.php?play_file=79331_522207 1

Sam.. thanks for taking the time to write such a comprehensive review of my song MAYBE NEXT TIME. You're pretty right on most all counts.. although I'd argue that most pop songs aren't that original by their very nature. This song is almost 20 years old and was done merely as a song demo.... never been recorded or enhanced since then. I'm not really even sure why it's still up on broadjam!! Best of luck to you in your musical endeavors.
