Love this... reminds of the beginning of Bach cello suite no 1 (prelude)... Your vocals and some of the chord progressions remind me of Elvis Costelo a bit... very captivating song... I absolutely love it...
Hey Ruti, Thanks for the kind words. I had to laugh because my classic training always seem to squeak into my songs here and there. Then to see a renown person like yourself to use Bach and Elvis Costelo in the same review is quite a compliment. This is the one thing I absolutely LOVE about reviews and feedback from other artists is....what THEY think the song sounds like or what it reminds them of. Very interesting, ya know? Mainly, and you know this, when we begin a song...the inspiration come from numerous sources and/or stimuli....and we tarry on with out toiling over a song until it is completed and we listen to our newest masterpiece and say, "Yeah, it is done"....and smile. Hey Ruti, Thanks for the connection. First of all, cello was my first stringed instrument. I began playing it at 6 years old. At the same time, I began formal piano training. Back in the 70's, as a guest artist ( I was an established singer-songwriter in SF at that time), I sat in and played cello on several rock albums that were recorded in San Francisco. Anyway, I LOVE the sound of the cello.....and you play it BEYOND "well". What a treat. Wishing you the best success in the future.....just keep on writing and composing.... My Best, Chet Nichols
