Thank you so much for you kind reviews of my song, much appreciation!!
Hey Joe you're welcome. Great song.
Hey Guys thanks so much for the stars and support on "Circles" Who knew that a fun, innocent little song would cause someone distress. Scott
I know. And it is such a fun song.
Excellent comments on your latest news. There really is a point where a review is no longer a review but a moral criticism, personal in nature, that has nothing to do with the creativity that made the music. Several great songs have been accused of breaching the conservative moral compass that were simply songs about life: "Draggin' the Line," "A Horse With No Name," "There She Goes," are a few accused of glorifying drugs but had nothing to do with it. Great songs are stories about life's experiences, the celebration of life, the struggles life, the human experience.
Thanks so much for those great words John, I'm still trying to get past it but I just might have to let her know how I feel about it. She's gone from my friends list and my life, her and all her sappy songs.
Wow! "Waiting on You" is fabulous my friend. You truly have a style all your own.
Thanks so much my friend! Stay safe... Cheers, Warren
Hey, Scott. Thanks much for the stars on "I'm Not Coming Back." You're the only one who has listened to it. It's the lift I needed. Things have changed so much on BJ. It took about a month with the vocalist because, though her bluesy vocal was great for lounge or blues, it pushed the notes, so I asked for a pop vocal that would hit the notes and gave some examples. She did a very good job of that. Then I chose some parts out of the bluesy vocals to put in because I liked the emphasis. Now I'm cautiously looking for two vocalists for "All the Reasons Why"...again, courtesy of the scammer at FiveRR! That's the song I'd really like to get out. I just don't want to get scammed out of money again. AI gives a new meaning to Money for Nothing! "Circles" and "Blood Witch" are just stunning! "Circles" has an incredibly great melody and the story line is great fun that matches! That's the kind of "great song" that should hit the Billboard top 10. Probably would have easily back in the Kasey Casem top 40 days. Best to you, my friend! John
Hey John, yea I know what you mean about BJ it's just not what is used to be that's for sure. "I'm not coming back" is a great bouncy tune with some excellent bluesy vocals. The added embellished vocals really make it pop. I'm thinking we should just abandon the duet idea and just go with the one vocal as it would simplify everything. Thanks so much I'm really happy with the way "Circles" came out now to figure out what to do with it. haha. Good luck in your search my friend. Scott
Scott, Thank you for the review of Caitlin, The Little Yorkie. She is indeed a beloved pet. Doreen & William
Great song form you two, as always. Scott
Hey Doreen and William thanks so much for great review of "Circles" it's truly appreciated. Been listening to your music and it's all top shelf. Scott/Ravensong
Circles is a great song! Thank you so much. Doreen & William
Thanks for the nice review of "Discovery at Well 347". I would love to have a vocal of the track. Marvin
Hey Marvin it was my pleasure, you don't hear music like that everyday. If you find a vocalist let me know I would love to hear it. Scott
Thank you for the review of It Takes a Village. Doreen & William
You're very welcome.
Hey Hortime thanks for the stars on "Circles" and "Devils on the Loose" much appreciated. You did a great job of singing "Circles" for me and part of the reason it's #2 in the Rock/Ska top ten on Broadjam. Looking forward to you posting more of your music so people here can get a better Idea of you talents my friend. All the best. Scott/Ravensong
Wow! Thank you for the terrific review of "Nature of the Game." That was just the boost I needed today. I'm still playing "Circles." It is such a great song!
Hey John "Nature of the Game" is incredible my friend. A chart topper if I ever heard one. Great work by all involved. I'm still working on "Circles" I spent the morning arranging the vocals for a better fit also shortened the intro which I think works better.
Thanks for the rating..Evan Pace
Your welcome
Thank you for the review of Love At The Hop. Appreciate your comments. Doreen & William
You're welcome, thanks for sharing it.
Hey Jeana thanks so much for stopping by for a listen and for the stars. I'm in the prosses of hiring a real singer for "Circles" I'll let you know when it's finished. As always take care and be safe. Scott
Hi Scott--I'm looking forward to your next version, although I like how the current version sounds. I had to look up Ska. :-) Nice work. Your Friend, Jeana P
Hi Jeana I just listened to "I'll never forget you" lovely haunting melody that you do so well. Yes Ska was popular for awhile in the 80s but I guess it kind of faded from view. haha Thanks again my friend. Scott
Hi Scott--Thanks for listening to "I'll Never Forget You" and "Floating" and the stars. I always appreciate your support and input as a musician. As for your latest news, just keep making music how you intend it to be. I've had my share of critiques that I didn't enjoy, but after so many years I just go with my gut and not worry too much if my music is liked or not.
Hey Jeana thanks so much. It wasn't the review that was the problem it was a personal attack against me as she thought it promoted drug use and I was leading the children astray. She then suggested that I find God to ride myself of this evil. That's the problem. Thanks for being a great friend. Scott
Hey John thanks so much for the great review of "Circles" my friend. Reviews like yours are hard to come by and always refreshing to read. I'm considering a vocalist for this one but the cost is a problem however we shall see. haha
The cost is always the problem. But now scamming is a big problem. Robert Quigley and I look for good reputable vocalists who are cheap. If I come across one who really does the job, I'll let you know right away. You're much welcome for the review. I do everything to call it out like it is. The one thing really missing from reviewers I've read is that they can't get past production to really hear the base words and music. I'd rather write great songs than to be any good at being a producer!
"Circles" is a great song, Scott! The lilting melody and guitar riffs have more hooks than a tackle shop! Lyrically FUN! Really fits the Jamaican influenced mood of the tune. It's one of those catchy fun tunes that I just have to play again and again!
Thanks so much John for the listen and the kind words greatly appreciated my friend. Really digging the final version of Nature of the Game what a great song.

Hey Frank thanks so much for stopping by to listen to "Curse of the Blood Witch" and for the stars, greatly appreciated. Just listened to "Take the High Road" 5 stars great song.
Thanks very much Scott! Yeah... John Walradt pointed me to your song. John's a great guy on this platform, and I appreciate his perspectives and creativity. I'm glad he told me about you... I'll be listening to more of your music! Be and stay well! Frank
Thanks Frank, yea John is a great guy and a very talented writer, producer and engineer. There's some good people on BJ bit sometimes hard to find. Take care. Scott
Hey Scott! Thanks for the review of the my song, "The Last Riders On Route 66"! Much appreciated it. Back in 1967, during Spring Break, my buddy, Pete Reiter, and I threw caution to the wind and hitch-hiked from Oklahoma City to Laurel Canyon to Huntington Beach to Santa Monica and back to Oklahoma City in April over a 2 week period. WHAT AN ADVENTURE and tale. In fact, I got my first first big break as a solo act, when a club owner discovered me playing on the beach and invited me to come and play at his club across from the beach, where I opened for "Ian and Sylvia" for 2 nights. He paid me $50 for 2 shows per night and I could pass the hat and take home the tips. I paid for the trip from those two nights. Anyway, the story stayed with me as a couple years later I embarked on a solo-recording and touring career that took me all over the country for 14 and was especially used by access to Route 66. When I moved over to the film business and started writing scripts, I vowed to write the story of our Route 66 adventure....where it depicts my first leg of the journey riding with a friend who took me from Chicago to Oklahoma City where I attended Oklahoma City University my first year. So, I began writing a novel about my journey and named it, "The Last Riders On Route 66". It is now in in it's 4th pressing. You can get it at Amazon. ( https://www.amazon.com/Last-Riders- Route-66/dp/B0DGXNLN64/ref=tmm_pap_ swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&dib_tag=se& dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.QK7DeRNmyQenf4owm1 0cZsvOkUTfQuGQ-8lh8Ti1hI8dfChTa7LMc 9iyfQOYpODj0age0F8jvDF4ffw8YcmWeh9f W1MDJkRNlCAbQLYW83peDxi47l4yQ35R8uS JhY1UnCsNimJNvQNa-WRMow2YNg.XN59CFc QkKjElM337CqtyTdoHJ9jC2blO20NYES4sC 8&qid=1748448691&sr=8-1) Or you can get it directly from me at: https://chetnichols.net/novels I wrote the song, when a friend told me about an International Theme Song Contest about Route 66, so I modeled the song about the novel......AND...... it won the GRAND PRIZE!... The NEXT YEAR, the follow-up song, "The Mother Road", also won the Grand Prize. https://chetnichols.net/track/40055 85/the-mother-road-ts-band Anyway, I laughed when I saw you and done the trip too.... Hope you are well.... Chester PS ODDLY enough I have a 2nd meeting with a film producer who is interested with the story.....TODAY....
Wow hey that's a great story my friend. All I got was kicked of the beach at Laguna for sleeping. haha Long story short I ended up hitchhiking for the next two years and went coast to coast and had some amazing adventures. Great news about the film project I hope it goes well and I'll watch the movie when it comes out. Great song btw. Scott
There is a great line about hitch-hiking in my song, "The Waving Prairie".......Having done it. I picked up my fair share.....Once picked up a hitch-hiking, blonde model and her Congo drum out on the middle of the New Mexican desert. She was stunning and going to New York from LA. I really don't think she was human. Took her to Kansas and she stayed a couple AMAZING days and then....I woke up and she was gone...in the middle of the night.......Pooof. Best. Chet
Hey another great story Chet, someday I'll have to tell you the story of how I lost my boots in the back of a hookers Cadillac just outside of Reno. haha I had to go bear foot until I got to Yellowstone. So many great memories form the road. Take care. Scott
Thank you for the kind reviews of Take Me and Old Man.
You're welcome Marc. You write good music. Scott/Ravensong
Hey guys thanks so much for the stars on my song "The Devils on the Loose" greatly appreciated my friends.
Great work Raven! LC Team
"Nature of the Game" Wow! All three of you need to take a bow on that one my friends. That's epic and I really mean that, very impressive indeed. The vocals on this one are totally on point, great tenor in the voice. Masterful.
Thank you many times over, my friend! I really like Bob's raspy everyman vocals...right on target. I woke up one morning last month with the beginning measures of that tune. I knew it was quite the earworm so I rushed to my computer to take down the notes. I had a small part of it recorded in a couple of hours and sent it right off to Bob and Robert.
Hey Scott Nice job on the devil's on the loose! I especially LOVE the lyrics. High quality writing sir! Cheers Warren
Hey thank you so much Warren, I really didn't want a linier story line so I just let the words flow. haha The lyrics were the fun part. Hope your world travels are going well my friend. Scott
Scott, "Devil's on the Loose" is great! Beginning with a Metallica influenced melody line and angry riffs, it goes into a chorus that is an earworm that won't quit! Great melodic hook! As I've said, you have an ear for catchy tunes. It's like Metallica and Deep Purple got together with a classic gloomy hard metal sound. Lyrics really compliment the tune and are expertly written. In fact, I'm thinking "wow, if I could write lyrics like that!" We know exactly what you're talking about! It's poetry with grit and bite. Hats off to you, my friend!
Hey John wow I'm so happy you like it. It was a real bear to write haha I almost scraped it a few times but I'm glad I didn't. I had written a couple of pages of lyrics but they really just weren't cutting so I cleared my mind and just wrote what I felt and have been feeling for a long time now. Thanks again my friend it felt good to write something again. Crazy world Scott
Hello Ravensong, Thank you for the 5 stars for my song In The Mirror. Lindsay
You're welcome Lindsay I enjoyed the listen.
Hey Nan thanks so much for the stars for my song, "I can play the blues forever" very much appreciated. Hope thing are well with you. Scott

My pleasure....check out my new song, "The Country Ball".... I'll teach you how to yodel! Chet
