I love this song. The catchy rhythm mixed with the vocals and lyrics. Lori should be getting alot more recognition for this well blended track.
very good tone and involving too much feeling.
Hi Lori really love your voice, please come by and have a listen and let me know if you'd be open to do some writing, yours truly, Noel Cohen
Hello . Your cover photo speaks of sincerity .Sometimes I think this song is too drawn out . Not so with Too Late . The music and also the lyrics tend to draw the listener in .However some lyrics I found that I could not understand so it was good to have the lyrics written . I suspect that you worked very hard on this .
Hi! Thank you. Have you seen the TV Show, "The Following?" I work on the show and I wrote it based on the relationship between Joe Carroll and his followers..primarily Emma. :) It's also in life in general. There is such a gray area that lines are blurred and what we do for love and how it draws us in. :)
Also check out this song I wrote with Cassandra Kubinski: https://soundcloud.com/cassandra-ku binski/until-you-learn-to-swim-swim
I meant to say I think some songs are too drawn out . Not referring to Too Late . Sorry for that .I am not familiar with the show Following . What we do for love is a good question .The answer I think is be in a safe, trusting ,committed relationship .My wife and I have this established. It is good material for songs .A good song speaks to deeper values .That which resonates with heart matters .I am working on some fresh music to put on here .I have some on sound cloud profile markybbb .
Hey Lori...i like your lyrics and general vibe. Scope out my stuff when youre able ;) ~GP
Sounds great! Mike Brown sounds like Hootie. :)
Oh and thank you!
actually that's ME...Mike is guitar on the "featured" tracks ;) Hootie...that's a new line, thank you!
Oh! I really like it. There was that one song where you sounded like Hootie. I'm just seeing your response today. I'm not sure why I didn't receive a notification.
Where are you located? I would love to write with you.
Great Sound Nice Clean trax too!!
Thank you! :)
i tried--wow!--pretty cool tune!--5 stars--cheers--joe.
Reach for the stars, AWESOME TUNE LOVE IT !!!
where do you find all of these great female vocalists?
My producer actually finds them.
He's very picky.
cool, they are all very good. rebekah is my favorite. but i still have a lot of your songs to listen too.
is rebekah singing? i love the song and the vocals. very intimate! talking about too late! i can listen to her all day!
Yes that's Rebekah singing. Isn't she amazing? :)
yes she is! she should be on mainstream radio as well as your songs. great songs! everyone i heard had a great singer! but she was exceptional! she's got it!
It's such a tough business, but you never know with the right placement what might happen. I hope it gets on the radio. :) She's on twitter @rebekahwhite
Have you had any success on here? I feel like they just take our money. I've been "considered" but nothing ever pans out. Yet with Jingle Punks, I've placed like crazy.
yes i have been considered also. i have got publishing offers! but thats not really paying until they get their clients to chose your song out of hundreds. most of the opportunities. just come up "thanks for participating" and now one from broadjam is selected. think $5 a sub x300-400 songs per opportunity x 100-150 opportunities! then $5 per song contests too. thats some serious cash. i'll have to check out jingle punks.
yours is some of the best music and performances on here!
Yeah, I'm kinda annoyed. With JP you don't have to spend anything. The only thing is it's 50/50 with them and you don't get told when and where your songs are placed. You also don't usually get upfronts, but you get it on your PR statement. It's better than nothing and it's great exposure.
Aww thank you Gordon!
Oh don't forget the actual yearly subscription! $150-200 etc.? Seems suspect. My entertainment attorney said you should never spend out of pocket, but I am limiting what I'm submitting to see if anything actually works. If "Too Late" isn't picked for that Vampire TV Show I submitted it for, I'd be a bit weary.
yes i forgot about the membership. it seems like the primo membership should let you submit for free.
I wanted to invite you to listen in to my very first LIVE, Solo ... over the internet concert Tomorrow night....12.12.12 Wed. 7pm - 8pm EST, the link is www.digitalstreetradio.com I would love to get your opinion on my songs. I have about 16 that have NOT been up loaded yet. I play 12 of the tomorrow night. Thanks!
Lori, GREAT stuff. My favorite...for what it is worth, is Too Far Gone. Perfect song for your voice & attitude.
Thanks! I don't sing my songs (I can sing but not as well as my demo vocalist), but I write them. You sound like Johnny Cash. :)
I love your music! I heard your song "I'm not perfect" and I fell in love with it. So I kept researching for more of your music and found this site where your music is on. You have a wonderful voice and all your songs have such deep meaning which is really great. I was wondering how to get the songs that arent on your album that is on here?
Thank you SO much! Well, I have to thank the ex-boyfriends and whatever for giving me good material. :) Life in general really. Which songs did you want? Email me loriamartini at gmail dot com.
where can I get your cd.... I want it so bad I love your song I'm not perfect.....
Aww thank you. It's on www.cdbaby.com/cd/lorimartini or on iTunes. Just look up my name.
thanks so much
You're welcome! Thank you!!
Hey Lori - - I think your song 'Beautiful' is one of the finest on Broadjam (lyrically AND musically). Really glad I came across it. Best, Scott Tom Canfield.
Hey Scott, Thank you. That really means a lot to me because that song sums up my relationship with my ex, so it's really personal. :) I'm glad you liked it. Best, Lori
BTW, have you had any success on here?
Like your style, we should do some writing together.
Thank you. I'd love to. :)
"She Got The Part" got that Dru Hill flava. :)
Lol, where are u located?
Oh crap! I didn't realize it was Usher. Dammnnn! Liquid Dreams is one of my favorite O-Town songs and Olivia's Biz-ounce...HOT TRACK. I'm in Brooklyn.
My song "BELIEVE" was NY Mets 2nd Baseman, Justin Turner's walkup song all summer. We got to perform it LIVE at Citi Field on May 27th. Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZjM5baLp6c&feature=plcp&context=C39ec57eUDOEgsToPDskLYBSPSk1095iRmxNb_ISb1 1
Where are you with your career as of now?
I'm merely a songwriter trying to get placement in TV/Film/Commercials or have a signed artist cut on them. I write lyrics and some melody. I wrote all the melody to Believe.
Cool so you've given up on the artist thing?
I'm not really a singer. I have a demo vocalist. The girl on most of my tracks is Ashley Poole, formerly of DREAM.
Oh ok I thought it was you, lol
Im looking for a good pop singer to develop. She has to be what you described yourself as. I also love to co-write with someone who can good with lyric and melody even tho that's my thing also.
No, sorry. I wish. Same here. I've been looking for the same. I haven't found anyone good enough to develop or even cut demos. I'm severely picky. I definitely would like to work with you. Let me know. It's best to email me at loriamartini@gmail.com
Do you have Skype? If so let's meet there. My name is QwiLite.
Yes, I do. Mine is lori.martini
Sorry I missed your skype call. I'm barely ever home.
I hear that, let me know when your able to get on.
