Hi John - Thanks for the stars on "I'll Be There" - appreciated! Susan
John Thanks for the stars for FACE OF AN ANGEL. Greatly appreciated. I've been reading your news update. I'm busy remixing/improving a few of my older recordings. It's a never ending process. Alan
Thanks Alan
Thanks for the *s for COFFEE - much appreciated. Alan
Thank you Ionut for your five stars. 40 years ago I could have made the whole nighbourhoodr rock withy Scotland but I do not have the lungs these days. Lauren my Love is for my niece who went through hard times so she will be thrilled when I tell her of the five star rating. Thank you.
Always a pleasure John! All the best!
Hello John! Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and rate my new song! I really appreciate your continuous support. All the best!
I have a nephew who composes classical music so I do have an ear for it.
Gee thanks for the 5 stars.
You're very welcome!
Hi John thanks for listening and rating 'The Vigilante'. I really appreciate it. Alan
Hurts like Hell - great song. Don't know how I missed it before. but heard it in the reviews. Alan
Hi thanks Alan thought might be a bit raw for some ears that one so glad you like it. I liked your new track very catchy I read your vocal comments on it don't fret they sound good .
Thanks - I think I'm just lamenting the fact that I don't sound the way I did 30 years ago. I might just dig out one of my old reel-to reel recordings. Thanks for the *s and pl. Alan
Just been listening to you competing with yourself in the amped reviews. No contest - you won! The third one was a cover, so got the 1 it deserved.
Don't do it. Forget the reel to reel music. You might get such a shock you will give up. But keep on going. I am now bruising my finer tips on a guitar and am playing one of my songs on awn old accordion. On these at least I can improve my performance.
Hey Susan thanks for the five stars . I listened to some your music and I like You Have No Idea I will get back to give that 5 stars. That song I was able to pay to be produced and I just loe the Irish singer Alanna Carson. Gee I wish she was a friend of mine so that she would sing. I am 80 this year and started writing to get the grey matter going. I write for fun. Thanks again.
Hey John! I don't know why my reply to you didn't post. Anyway, as far as songwriting goes, better late than never :0) And you are talented too! Thanks for checking out my songs, I appreciate it. I look forward to hearing more of yours!
This was a lovely song. Both of you have lovely voices but I am not sure if you gel as a duet. Neverthelessyou have both great voices and careers in front of you. Â Â I see you know Andy Haldane, I have a couple of songs he produced back n the days I had money. I come from Glasgow but spent most of my life in England Iwill soon be 80. But I hope you both make it before that age. You will have a lot of nonsense and disappointments to put up with but keep going it is atoughbusiness. You do have the talent to make it.
HOPEFULLY THE NEW VERSION WILL BE UP SOON. AWAITING ACTIVIATION.
Hi John Thanks very much for the 5* for WHISPERING A DREAM. It means a lot. A few days ago you said that you had uploaded a new song that had been professionally produced, but I couldn't (and still can't) find it. Looking forward to hearing it. Alan
I did the uploading but for some rewoason it did not make it. The Song was 'It was so Wonderful. Again I have very strong lyrics. I will try again tomorrow. I composed it about five years ago.
Song has been uploaded.
There were actually two songs. The voice of the young girl who sang this one is simply wonderful. She lives in Scotland but I do not know where and her name is Alannah Carson. She sang Your Voice in the Night beautifully
Thank you, John for 5 stars on Be a Doer. Just back from 10 day tour...went great. Thanks for your support and encouragement. Mrs. Kate
Kate, all your songs are 5 stars. You have been given two wonderful gifts and one is that you are so creative that you leave people speechless and you have that wonderful voice. And God has chosen you to bring happiness to little children. I just put my promised song to God up on Broadjam. It was one I longed to write and came from my heart. I seem to have been picked to make people aware of the loneliness and heartache many children suffer from broken homes and inadequate families. The kind of children nobody wants to know. Yet when you give them a kind word of encouragement they can blossom for those few minutes. Even in my extended family such children exist. It is a crazy world. but Your songs I know will bring joy for a few moments to even those children. God bless, John
Thanks John, please send me a link so I can hear it! Mrs. Kate Thanks for the encouragement!
Mrs Kate, I sent one version to Broadjam but realised I had omitted an important guitar part in the mix. So go to Soundcloud You will see al my miserable attempts if yo put in john-kearny or A Child Will Welcome Me. This was a difficult song for me to sing since I will be 80 the year. But perhaps in some ways my old voice suited this song
Hello again, Thanks for the *s on GOOD NEWS. Always appreciated . Alan
I once had a country song which I submitted to awn MIP looking for Country Music. He told me he cannot get a country singer to sing that style anomie I checked one or two artists and he was right while stilll maintaining they were singing country they were singing pop.. Because of course that is where the money is. .
Hi J, Thanks for the kind review of "Coast City". I'm the band....A real horn section would be great, but as you stated, pazzoozzas aren't always available for hiring the musicians and a studio to work in. Some day....... Bill
Marvellous job, Bill!! It was an incredibly minor suggestion as the piece is great!
Thank you. She is now pre-teens and wants to do everything. I keep asking her for another idea though. May I say how I enjoyed your music . You are a great on the piano and your voice is beautiful. But then you are Welsh.
Thanks, John, really appreciate your kind words :)
Remixed and mastered 'Traffic Jam Blues' after re-recording guitar riff and bass line. I've never seen an opportunity for a song about a traffic jam but I'm ready for when it happens! http://www.broadjam.com/artists/songs.php?artistID=37910&mediaID=280589&pg=2 1
Very cool retro 70's sound. You should definitely submit this to the opp looking for Baby Boomer- era songs. This fits so nicely with that vibe.
Thanks Doug. But having had a big family of six boys should I really try to get a baby boom ff the ground? I think I will do it though.
Thanks Doug, for your suggestion and for the stars and playlist add for 'Traffic Jam Blues'. Alan
Kate, I have been listening lot your songs and your wonderful voice. You are one of the most talented young ladies I have ever come across. However MIP's only want songs that make the maximum profits. As I watch my TV I realise they have not interest in talent anymore. But keep on going for your songs will be very popular soon to a lot of parents and a lot of childreb for change is coming. John Kearney
John, thank you soooo much for the encouragement. I really need and appreciate it. Just got my Pandora report. Hundreds and hundreds of listens to the Picky Eater Song. Maybe when it becomes thousands and thousands, I'll make more than .63 cents, ha ha. Anyway, I played at a preschool this morning and it went GREAT. I have Brooke the Magic Roadie with me, and when Brooke is my Roadie, magic happens! We've got a nice 10 day tour planned, so fun is on the horizon. God bless you and thank you so much for taking the time to listen to my songs. Have you seen the Exercise video yet? here's a link: https://youtu.be/EjCFrLm39HU
Hey, Frank, thanks for the 5 stars. When you are sinking in unknown territory it is good that someone immediately is there to give you a lift up.
You're welcome John. You have a lot of talent. Keep up the great work! Take care, Frank
Hi John, Thanks very much for the nice rating on "Is there a place". I wish you all the best, Frank
Hello John Nice to make a connection with you and thanks for the 5* rating on 'MARRY ME'. We oldies need to stick together (I'm not that far behind you). Alan
I guess we connect because we grew up in an era of good music. Sticking to music keeps us young.
Hello John, Thanks for your message. Let me know when you get that God-song written. I was raised Catholic, but now I am a preacher's wife. I have been really busy promoting my new release, I Think I can. Here is the link to the video we made. https://youtu.be/EjCFrLm39HU Your friend in FL, Mrs. Kate PS I am 1/4 Irish, 3/4 Italian. My maternal g'ma was an Irish colleen. She toured singing and playing in the USA, met my grandfather; they wed and here I am, her musical descendant.
I am still working my way around Broadjam. After my reply I looked you up and there you were doing something you really love in sunny Florida. Children need an awful lot of love and help in the world of today. Keep up the good work and God bless.
yep i will thanks for the word of encouragement, John, we all need all we can get.
Hey Kate, just to let you know that I just uploaded a song you might like 'Hey Little Girl'. I wrote it to cheer up a depressed 13 year old school girl. so ow I am busy on the hymn I promised. god bless John.
Can you send a listening link to my email? MrsKateC@aol.com Thanks Leaving on a tour and I don't want to miss this. MK
Hello John, Thanks for reviewing I'll take a Step instrumental. I'll admit...it's kind of boring w/o the vocals. Here's the vocal version - Let me know whatcha think. Mrs. Kate http://www.broadjam.com/player/player.php?play_file=24409_468593 1
Gee Kate that was wonderful. I can just see the children moving their hands and feet. It is just right for them. I am a Catholic and have promised Jesus and Mary that I am going to write a cool religi9ous song after I finish my present composition. Ido not know if you have done any reviews but I just decided to show I was keen. There seems to be someone supervising and telling you to carry on. But heck I am no judge of instrumental music. I have a nephew who studied music and is trying to make a living. songs and lyrics I am happy with. did I note you in the Irish contingent. My wife is Irish, from Dublin. I wish you lived next door for my singing voice is not of the highest quality. Do keep in touch. John Kearney.
