Hey Jesse, Last year this time I was just getting into house music, I was using Digital Performer, Omnisphere, and Native Inst. I've broadened my selection of Plugins with Zebra2 and DCAM synth squad. I now have a virus ti2 polar which is my go to synth. I have some out board stuff I like too like a distresser, SSL bus comp, Lex PCM92. My gear is definitely important to me but i'm learning a lot about mixing, also mastering all my own stuff, I never think when I'm finished mixing something that someone else is gonna make it better, that usually doesn't happen in most cases I've heard tracks sound worse after mastering through other people. I'm focussing more on parts lately and not cluttering things, hazing elements of sound that people will really appreciate. What kinda equipment/software do you use?

I dont understand whats the point of peer ratings
Peer ratings are are there so you have the ability to hear everything that was submitted and learn from it. You can hear how other people interpreted the licensing request and you can see how your songs stacked up in the eyes of your peers. Only people that submitted can see those ratings, so it's just a learning process that you can do for yourself if you want. Also, some opps payout $50 cash to the artist with the top rated song.
yeah I just made a decision to ignore them completely. Songs that are rated very low still have the same chance to get selected regardless of the peer rating. Besides the $50 I dont see a real advantage.
