Great song - lyrics are profound. Love the tempo and rhyme scheme.
Bill Floyd...thank you for that uplifting and edifying review of "So Close To The Timber". I wrote it from my own personal experience and revelations. To God be the glory! Jim Kelley
Thank you for the review of So Close To The Timber. 1000 songs??? That is what I call "prolific". May God continue to inspire you to give Him the glory through each word...
Wow...thanks for the Touch Of Hope review. Where is Malta??? DUH...
Malta is an island in the south of Sicily.
Thanks for the review...it must have been very hard to get through even one minute of it! Did you even look at the lyrics...it isn't exactly religious"? LOL
thanx Jim and Jean for your review of "Second Chance", not exactly your run of the mill Country theme, but your words are right on IMO, and yeah, the key is for SOMEBODY to spend another 1K to RECORD IT! i'm done with 2 version's already, i'm a songwriter, not a sales dude,,,,but we hope, no? the best to you and yours, warren hein
Leave Me Alone With My Tears was such a great listen. Thanks.
Thanks so much for your kind words ... I sincerely appreciate your input.
My first gig ever, for the general public, on Sat. night went pretty well. Never planned on being on stage but I kinda liked the rush even tho I was nervous the entire time. Wasn't perfect but got some compliments from total strangers. Plan on doing it some more. YEE HAW !
Calvin...congratulations young man. Ain't it fun?
Thank you and yes it was. Gonna be back there on March 3.
Thanks for reviewing my Song God's Big Backyard! Your comments are helpful and fair--what a review should be. This song came about, basically, overnight. I was pastoring a family who lost their 3 1/2 year old son to an accident. The 6 year old sister told mommy not to worry because God has a big house and a big backyard. That he would be with great grandma and not have to wait in line for the swing! I worked with a musician friend and two days later we played this song at the packed-house funeral. David Spires sings it. Thanks again! God bless!
What a glorious way to minister to a hurting family. If only all our faith was like that of a little child... I can see where that would be a perfect song at any child's funeral. Keep up the Kingdom Work.
so close to the timber--now this is a really nice song--gee--thanxs for sharing this with me--great inspiration--great creative thinking--praise god!--joe.
Have to look you up at Burnt Store Marina when we come. I love catching those speckled trout at the marina docks!
Joe...would you listen to the songs we have just put up. There is a newer version of Mothers Day Song. See if you like it better? Jim and Jean Kelley Thanks!
oh wow!--i like both songs really good, but this is really nice--gee whiz,i was just thinking of my mom--even though i talk to her on the phone and relay messages by e-mail by my step/dad--i haven't been able to see her and give her a big hug--i am the oldest of 6 kids---you should put both songs on broadjam---1 and 2--i really like the music in the new version--that mandolin gives it a nice touch--cheers--joe.
So glad you listen with such intensity and careful ear. And so glad it makes you think of your Mom. My mom had Alzheimers and did not know me when I visited her...but when we played that song her eyes would light up like she was looking for me and say "That's my Jimmy" without realizing she was staring right at me. Wish the song could raise money for Alzheimers somehow you know Joe. God bless you.
Joe...thanks so much for the kind words about Mothers Day Song. I have a brother-in-law who we visit in Punta Gorda at Burnt Marina?
By the way... it is called In Your Momma's Eyes on my CD.
whatever the title--it is a great song--thanxs--joe.
ah yes--i been to burnt store marina many-many times--lots of great/neat people out there--they almost got the burnt store road turned into a super highway ha ha!-i remeber back 22 years ago when they were developing the place--i worked out there once in awhile--glad to meet you--cheers--joe.
mothers day song--really nice--thanxs--joe.
