Hey, I just saw your review of ZPD. Thanks for the props! The note slide is a simple thing to do, but depending on how your DAW works (assuming you are working strictly "in-the-box"), it might prove obtrusive to figure out. For me, I use FL Studio 20, and I simple layer one midi note above the other on the piano roll. The key, though, is to enable the "slide" function by clicking on the note you desire to slide up/down to. It looks like an isosceles triangle. So the result will be a slide/pitch bend that the channel plays back/records. You could similarly pitch bend the note by recording that parameter as an automation clip when recording your playback. So if you had a fader, knob, or mod wheel that is linked to the pitch of the note, you could achieve the same effect, and have even more physical control over the expression of the note's playback. This is just how I would do it any FL Studio, but it should work in theory for any DAW or even DI instrument you are recording.
Thanks for sharing. I went back and listened, and you should be able to make some money off that ZPD music! I still like that freeform slide part. I'll try what you say. Good luck with your music!
Thank you very kindly sir. I am still looking for opportunities to submit it to. Good luck with your music as well!
Thank you for the kind and thoughtful review of "Am I Live". I have listened to Put Em Up, and I love the infectious energy that the hook provides. If anything, you have a talent for vocal presence and energy, which if you hone and develop, along with your writing skills, you'll def be the next wave past Cardi B, Rihanna, Missy Elliot, and the greats.
Thank you so much for the feedback!
Thanks for kind words about "Vortex". Best to you. Marilyn H.
Nice review of manners rap. Thank you! Mrs. Kate welcome to Broadjam!
