HELL OF A STORY ELDO. GOOD LUCK
hey lou!! how goes the hunt, amigo? if you get a chance, check out my latest tune 'angel shoes for mama's feet'. it's my story about growing up out in the sticks. take care, bud.
OK ELDO I WILL. LOU
yep, i got my ears on, lou. here's hopin' you're makin' some beeyooteeful music with friends and/or gettin' the recognition you so rightly deserve. i just re-upped on my membership and have a daughter itchin' to demo a few of my (our?) songs. this gal has a serious set of pipes and a love for singing, but entirely too much man trouble.
THANKS BIG E, AND ALL THE BEST TO YOU BOTH.
ELDO : THESE ARE GREAT MOVIE TRACKS, I WOULD PUT AUTO TUNE ON THE VOCALS AND PEDAL THEM IF I WERE YOU. GOOD LUCK, LOU GREAT PRODUCTIONS !
THANKS , LOU. ARE YOU RECOMMENDING I JUST TRY PEDDLING THE MUSIC SANS THE VOCAL?
YES ! FOR FILM THESE ARE GREAT TRACKS WITHOUT LYRIC. IF FOR OTHER PROJECTS YOU USE VOCALS ADD AUTO TUNE ON VOCALS. LOU
THAT'S WHAT I FIGURED. I HEAR WHAT YOU'RE SAYING, ESPECIALLY ON SOULSONG. I FINALLY GOT AROUND TO LOADING A VIDEO TODAY. IT'S ANOTHER TRIPPY COSMIC SAILER BALLAD.
THANK YOU ELDO ! LOU
and considering all the love and support you give to other artists, nobody deserves to hit the mother lode more than you, big LOU!!
THANKS ELDO.
pays to stay +, right lou? if an artist didn't think their music had a chance, no matter how slim, they probably shouldn't be here anyway
RON : I THINK I'TS A FUN SONG.LOVE BIG FOOT ! AND YOU GO PRETY DEEP WITH THIS. WOULD LOVE TO HEAR IT WITH A PRODUCTION. LOU { T.C.C. }
THANKS, LOU!! NICE OF YOU TO GIVE A GOOD REVIEW
don't know if you're into experimental rock ballads or not, lou, but there's a couple of new uploads on my page - veins in a leaf and soulsong. i hope your life is full of smiles
hey lou! i wasn't up to speed posting my 'indie publisher' comment. so...'never mind'. :>)
RON, RON, RON, I REALLY LIKE THE SECOND ONE, FORGETTING YOU WITH THE FULL BLOWN PRODUCTION ! I FIXED YOU UP . AND THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT........ TRULY, LOU PENTA
you're the 1st to ever say they liked that one. guess you've 'been there', eh? heartbreak's an awful feeling, but, in terms of artistic juices, it sures squeezes out some mighty fine wine.
i go by 'gene'
GENE, GENE, GENE,
lou, lou, lou...just listened to 'my rose anna'. cheez, big guy, another classic. beautiful job. sounds like hit potential to me. i just loaded a little cajun/reggae number called 'life's a book'. fun song to do. i'd like, some day, to hear it as a full-blown musical production
not just top 10 on bj, but top 10 period. i rarely listen to or play contemporary country, but this is good stuff
WOW GENE ! THATS QUITE A STATEMENT. THANK'S, BUT THE WAITING GAME IS KILLING ME, I EVEN HAVE A NASHVILLE SONG PLUGGER WORKING ON THEM, IT'S TOUGHER THAN THEY SAY, [ IMPOSSIBLE IS MORE LIKE IT ] LOU
I tried a song pluggers too. Mine didn't do too much but take my money. Hope you got a better one than I did! It is unbelievably hard, that's for sure!
some major labels (used to) consent to review unsolicited matl submitted by indie publishers. i got my foot in a few doors representing myself and the songs i was pitching in that manner. guess my songs weren't good enough, but anyway...:>) this is just an approach i thought i'd share because i'd love to see you succeed.
Hey guys....I have been thinking about songpluggers lately as well. Not quite sure where to start. Sounds like you all have had some hit and miss with them yourselves!
The company I used just told me a bunch of bull. I asked for a pitch list and they got mad. Said a list would cost more. Finally they emailed a list of names and said here. Live and learn.
No dates or who played it. Just talked fast and asked for more money. I made a beginners mistake.
BUCK WHO WAS THE PLUGGER ?
I'll send you a PM a little later tonight.
+ +++- BUCK, SAVE SOME PEOPLE TIME AND MONEY. AS TO WHO USED TO REPRESENT YOU, BEFORE TO MANY GET BURNED ! BUCK: BY THE WAY ! FRANK PRENEVOST IS WORKING IN MY TOWN, WE GOT TOGETHER AND SPENT ALL DAY YESTERDAY, AS WE WROTE, AND PARTY'ED AT MY HOME STUDIO, WE HAD A GREAT TIME! GETTING TOGETHER AGAIN TODAY. HE'S ONLY THE SECOND PERSON I'VE MET FROM INTERNET.
Didn't Buc tell you Lou? We are all coming over tonight at 7(got your addy from a search engine). I like my steak well done......
HOW THE HELL DID YOU KNOW WHAT WE HAD ? THATS SCARY, WOW ! BIG " D " And I Don't Mean Dallas
I have my sources muhaha
WHATS UP , YOU GUYS STILL OUT THERE ?
Hey Lou. You been making any headway?
Hey Lou, you been making any headway?
I'm still alive (I think).
are all your songs this good? when do you plan on playing in portland, oregon? i'll be there.
Are all your comments this nice? ha...much appreciated. I'm more of a studio guy than a live guy, but maybe someday. Thanks for stopping by.
i'll offer encouragment to the tone deaf. you just happen to be good. i've seen it go the other way with fast-approaching geriatric age cats like me. that's the seed i choose to plant before falling off the people tree.
ha ha... I like your way with words. I'll take a listen to your tune as well.
i loaded 'forgetting you' tonight. recorded about 12 years ago at the zenith of my project studio production work. 1 is (was) a lonely number back then, unless you count working on music in solitude as a domestic relationship.
a real talented writer with an evocative voice. with good mgmt/representation, could have a real future in this biz. i really dig the dulcimer and the saw on the side. adds much to the rootsy flavor of this song.
Thanks for listening through and the nice comments.
You are Unique and a great song writer, my friend. Go out there and make some pals, and your plays will climb. Feel free to borrow any of mine. The are all good eggs. - Nick
thanks. i apprecite it. stylistically, some of your songs, and your treatment of them, remind me quite a bit of early joni mitchell who i had a serious artist's crush on. the earth cries for such sensitivity
RER, Great job on Good Ship Love, son! Let your love light shine! - Nick
got to. there's not enough hours left in my life to waste doing otherwise
