"Always know---very witty! Deep thinking! Catnip
:) thanks for the thought back... God Bless and Merry Christmas
As I get older (hopefully wiser) I find myself with an increasing list of meritorious thoughts and ideas arriving seemingly linked with an increasing inability to muster or convince an audience to consider them. This brings me back to something I said to myself years ago, "always know who it is you ignore." And then I search myself and look around wondering from which passing stranger of yesterday did I unwittingly miss a blessing of wisdom.
Thanks very much for the 5 star on my "I Let Them Leave" - 'perciate it! Best, Ed
My pleasure,Ed!
Got a note attached to a opp (Comic Book opp) that the provider needs more songs and has asked for more time. Uh, As far as I can tell, he hasnt listened to mine or anyone elses submission. Might want to go ahead and listen to a few before you decide need to hear more. Sheesh.
It's an absolute joke isn't it Donovan? I don't bother submitting to anything anymore, except when I have free submission credits.
Same Donovan
There's a submitter born every minute. I'm with Zac just using "freebies". I love this site for the music connection with a great group of folks. But I would really like a closer look at some of the business practices. Everybody's got to make a living, and knowing the inside story might actually make me more of an advocate.
I didn't read the fine print...it's for a COMIC BOOK!!!
The opps are a waste of money and they are almost always phoney. Even being accepted has turned out to be suspicious. I'd rather put the money toward my work and not worry about who likes it or mystical opportunities. More fun this way, too.
That's right Jeff, it's the social side of BJ that makes it worthwhile, although I wish I just had a free membership because I don't know what I really get for my monthly bill.
Well there's server space, programmng, admin time, all of which costs money, so in return for the really great benefits of the being here I'm happy to pay in something. I just hate snake oil stuff, if it's accurate to call it that.
I'm really here for the interaction with other musicians, which is great. I''ve met some wonderful people on here, and I've got about a half dozen songs that would have never seen the light of day, had I not met these folks.
lived it, learned it, and the social and/or collaboration has been worth it anyway... good comment
Yep Jeff, snake oil is a great way to describe it!
Are there farm subsidies available for milking dreams?
LOL!
Simple lovely Angel Love the changes throughout it. Well told story of love, expressed endearing adoration. Well Done Ed Sail this one to the Top! Abram Band Jacalyn & Dean
Thanks for the supporting and kind word. That song got some creative reviews (both supportive and witty criticisms as well) and I enjoy knowing how it hits people. There are some quirky guitar notes in there, but really they were the spine of the entire song, so I can't lament them. Smile. Best to you and God Bless. Ed
How ya been Ed? I still enjoy watching your videos..Informative - Peculiar - Unique - Eloquent - Calming - and more. I really don't listen to the Folk-Americana genre too much - but I will say - your compositions and vocals are very calming and warm. Blessings - Je
aha, just saw this. Thank you Je' for the kind word. I'm not quite sure what genre I consistently land in, but suspect it is more Adult Contemporary and/or lounge piano jazz than it would be Americana, but sometimes that fits too. Glad to know you enjoyed video and music work, and God Bless to you as well. Ed
You bet my friend - appreciate that constant warmth throughout all of your tracks. Real nice clean tone - - I notice you seem to put some great emphasis on that. Have a great week - Je
Bring it on - GREAT song and tribute lyric... well done
Ed, "Thank you very much"
Thanks for noticing my "Close" - puts me in the right mood for my upcoming recording work next week :) Thanks
You're very welcome!
Thanks to you guys for noticing some of my songs and giving me 5 stars and playlist additions... I DO appreciate it and it helps me - especially now right before I'm going back into studio session for some additional piano tracking... thanks and God Bless
Will be sailing in, you will have support from Broadjam Family. The best to you at the studio! Keep Sailing those are fine carved beauty's you have up! Abram Band God Bless you & yours.
Hiding in the Dark - nice feel and groove - like the ethereal guitar sounds in the instrumental section... well done
Thanks Ed, the guitarist we used did a great job, not sure what kind of effects he used , but it sounded cool.

And just for the "record" bah hah... I think my lyric on "Waltz on Channel B" is one of my better works... I know pride goeth before the fall, but I can't help it... I like that lyric :)

My pleasure my talented friend!
thanks a bunch for a very encouraging review of my "Slow Anger" ... appreciate it... God Bless
If you enjoyed that one, also please enjoy my "Protector's Lament" which was written in eulogy of a friend's brother who died suddenly and tragically... sad, but inspiring as I contemplated how the big brother could no longer look out for his "little brother"...
Your most welcome Ed and I enjoyed Protector's Lament also. It is a bit strange how it can be heartbreaking and peaceful at the same time, but it was!
Lost Inside My Heart ... nice song ... thinkin' of the past and a life of 'the way we were'... dangerous and powerful stuff... hope you are well, and nice job... if you want any piano added to it, just let me know... would enjoy that for you. God Bless...
Thanks, Ed! Danger is my middle name! I'm walking on a tightrope between recognition and obscurity...without a net!
well put... I know the feeling... hang in there, and when in doubt, write another song. :)
Thanks Ed for the great review of THUNDERBIRD. My first song with the mandolin, I was having too much fun! Blessings, Diana

Palomino Pony - wow - really good stuff
Thanks so much! Greatly appreciated.
Hi Ed, Thanks for a very fair and detailed review of I'm In Love Tonight. Some very useful comments which I will check out in detail later today. I will also listen to your tracks when I have some peace and quiet. Thanks again, Bob
My pleasure and good luck with your music. God Bless
Love Sounds - at the bridge when "we might be surprised..." the chord on 'surprised' was itself a lovely surprise... just when I was predicting it, it surprised me on the word 'surprise' and it made me smile and kind of go "oooooohhhh,,,, nice!" . a lovely arrangement. way to go - am buying and hope you make a bundle on that one. And oh by the way, I have lived out that first verse many years ago now... ahhh nice memories.
thanks Ed! I hsd twin grandbabies a couple of years ago, ad was moved to write that song. Thanks for the download, its sincerely appreciated .
Bug Guts... just reviewed and smiled... made me think of one of mine and was wondering did you produce this song yourself or enjoy collaboration on it for production?
Thanks Ed. I'm new to Broadjam. Just starting to find my way around the site. I'm a songwriter, not a performer. I was involved in the production and arrangement of both Bug guts & Lady Let at Kim Copeland Studios in Nashville. I had a blast. Thanks for such a nice review!
Famous Faces - Jim Croce-esq - nice song
thats a great compliment. It did sound a little like working at the carwash blues. thanks Ed !
Break a leg buddy, and I'm hoping to have another piano ballad to request your string arrangement on soon. :)
Thanks for your unwavering support, Ed. Looking forward to working with you again!
shoot buddy it ain't unwavering, it is earned... if you do any crummy work I'll let ya know and we would try again :) --- keep me posted as to how it goes with Perpetual as I'm curious about them sometimes. Best, and I will reach out with my next piano ballad or guitar ballad that would enjoy your talent and skill ... skill it is...
Only One ... sounds very good.... nice song :)

"I Can Only Try"... just was cruising and listening at random and found this song... NICE - took me back to a memory or two... nice vocals and the mandolin sounds great too... well done.
Yellow King video is cool stuff... well done
thanks Ed, much appreciated!
Beautiful video Donovan and Mike, on "Yellow King"!
thanks Cyn!. luckily MIke had plenty of pics for me to choose from. I've got to start getting some more live shots of me playing. Just joined a local band a few weeks ago, so should start getting some new shots. You can tell Mike really enjoys playing.
Aye, that's for sure; it's obvious that you both love your music. Say, just received an email from Charlie yesterday about The Great Arkansas Talent Search Songwriters Division, as I'm sure you did. You are sure to enter? If I were a little closer to the city, I would, but it would mean coming down there, and I'm not one to drive in LR. You would "clean house" with your music, Donovan! Go for it!
You should enter, u have great songs too! Its kinda pricey, but I will prob enter one song. I have a friend who lives near who will help me perform on of my tunes. It would be nice to win some actual moolah in a contest, but Im sure there will be stiff competition.
finished another studio trip to PA and 6 songs... mixing and mastering underway... many thanks to my supporters and fans and I'm looking forward to sharing new material with all. God Bless
When Love Prevails ... fabulous work here... right from the beginning it sets a groove that does not fail anywhere in it... wonderful lyrics, smooth clean sounds and 'peace will come' in the song itself. Well done Greg and all associated God Bless
Thanks, Ed! It's the second collab with Don Tucker, but the first one to be released. Jay Speight did the vocals and production, and we're thrilled with it! Thanks again for your comment!
