Hi David! Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and rate with 5 stars my "Song from Transylvania"! I really appreciate it! All the best!
No problem enjoyed listening to you!
May you have much success on Journey. David
David Payne, has sweet and beautiful music, great David.
Thank you very much Toni, truly appreciate that from one artist to another.
David, Thank you for the instructive review on "CUDDLE WITH ME" ! You are correct, I should have cut the vibes so as not to double with the sax.I will do that, remaster and re post! THANK YOU! TAPPIN' TOMMY
No problem Tommy, will all sharpen each other. Your Welcome David
I've got my studio up and running, so look out here I come! LOL I just uploaded a revised song What You Wanna Do with the lyrics....I had the instrumental up but left the lyrics of because of some editing I needed to do. Well I just got around to doing it. Hope you listen to it. It's in the feel of Roy Ayers. I couldn't find his name in the selections of what artist it sounds like. TTYL
Wow!! Thats great David. I can't wait to hear. I know you got some real good stuff you're working on.
I Think of You, Nice Bill. I flowed with it, loved the feel.
Thanks David, had fun putting it together after having it sitting unfinished for years. Bill
Thanks for the review, I hate fake drums as well.
Thanks Lawrence for the review. Appreciate it.
You sold me on this one....not too deep into the hip hop but this one is hot...like very much! Give Love
Thanks for the love!! I'm glad you liked it.
Very Nice arrangement on What's Going On.
Thanks Bill for that review, and everything you said is probably true. It was in my beginnings stages of writing career. I purposely distorted the vocal because it was an angry song with a groove. It reminded me of Roy Ayers style. But thanks I accept your critique wholeheartedly.
Hi David, I've got a few tunes here that are basically works in progress and appreciate any constructive criticism as well. We all come at the music from different angles so, although we might not agree with a comment, we can always learn from it.
I totally agree, Bill.
Thanks for the review, it's truly helpful.
Thanks Peter for that review!
reviews can sometimes be disappointing. hope my suggestion was helpful as I really enjoyed the track.
Thanks, Melvin for that review....it only sharpens us for the next go round. Thanks again.
Y/W..
David, thanks for the review of "Polka Dot Blue". Appreciate your input. Bill
No problem. Wish you well on everything you do.
David, Thank you so much for the very positive review of THE CORRIDOR. Very much appreciated. regards, Chip
Thanks so much, David, for your great review of Rapazzi Tarred & Feathered. Much appreciated!
Hey thanks for that honest review....I would love redo the vocals...but I think it's a good pitch for someone to do the song besides myself.
Y/W.... I'm glad i could help.
Hi David, thank you for your review of Insomnia. Yeah, that beginning throws people. Man I am glad you like it. I really appreciate the compliments.
No Problem from one artist to another. Keep on making some good music!
Oh man totally digging "You Keep On Coming" --this reminds me of Harry J Allstars from Jamaica.
Thanks Jeff, I think it's one of those songs that should be stuck in every DJ's box.
Hi David, Thanks for the kind review of "Tastes Like Chicken" --I was trying to evoke the spirit of Jimmy Castor, RIP, and the general funk mischief of the 70's. I'm listening to "What You Wanna Do" and really like the groove, sounds, and arrangement!! -Jeff
Thanks, I have lyrics I've recorded already, but need to do over. thanks
Good evening. Thank you for your kind review of Love Will Find the Way Back Home. The best to you & your music; have a great week.
My pleasure! May you have much success!
Thank you brother.
David, Thank you so much for your very generous review of "Sunday Afternoon". As I am always trying to improve all my music, I have been in the studio the last couple weeks re-recording some parts on all my songs for my next CD. I originally recorded the tracks with synthesizers MIDI programming, then putting real horns on top. I finally got studio time to replace the MIDI drums, MIDI Guitar sounds with the real thing. I am also adding one of my best friends (Ignacio Nunez) on percussion. He is a 3X grammy award winning percussionist. I feel so blessed to have these friends all come together to make my music even better. I am looking forward to sharing with you. As I was reading your profile, it seems we are leading similar lives and values on our music. I am also retired from the "regular job". I do nothing but work on music every day. I wish you the best with your music. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.
Thanks Paul, from one musician to another it's the best thing we can do for one another. I'm still learning and but most of all staying true to my music whatever style I do it in. I too will be getting into the studio to work on many songs that have been sitting waiting for me to perfect them and put them out there. Keep up the good work, looking for some more good stuff from you.
Hey David, Thanks so much for the wonderful review of my instrumental, "Malibu Sunday". I had to laugh because you picked up on a "background story" embedded in the song. I lived on the beach in Malibu for 5 years. On Sunday mornings, the water was soft and flat a lot. I'd look out over the beach and watch people, couples and dogs walking quietly along the shoreline. Very serene and pastural. But, as the mooring and day progress it slowly filled with people from all over the world and locals alike. Playing games, building sand castles, eating and playing music....I took that dynamic and tried to depict it musically. Well, my friend, you got it. Again, thanks for the great review and kind words. You've started my day with a smile. Best, Chet Nichols
Your so welcome. Glad to put a smile in your day, God knows we need that. We all have a story to be told and through our compositions we can tell it as well as speaking them. Isn't that the truth!
David. Thank you for your review of 'The Message (Edit). As you probably realise it's a snippet of a longer song and is intended for TV/film use. Regards. David
I figured that it was. It's cool!
