What do you charge for lyrics? if you do write lyrics for others?
hi, i don't sell lyrics. i would collaborate to make a complete song.
check out my RnB song "Candy Man"
Ok. I would love to do a collabo with you. I think we could both benefit!
ive listen to a few of your beats and they are cool. what do you have in mind?
I know that summer rolls around quickly and summer fun songs with female artist seem to to do pretty well. That beat I did, "I Feel Like Dancing" has always sounded like a summer fun anthem type song. Can you hear the same thing??? I hear a female vocalist as well.
C-Henn, i'm working on a few lyrics at moment and your idea sounds good for the beat "I fell like dancing" so i will get back to you on this...
Awesome. Keep me posted!!!
Hey to all my fellow broadjamers. Came out of my element and tried to add two different genres together. I like this cut and am eager to get some criticism. Any takers? Especially you Terese and Roy. All criticism is accepted and considered. I'm trying to land some large licensing ops. The song title is "feelings." So feel free to share them with me.
Hi C! well I listened to Feelings twice through...beautiful beautiful piano throughout. I think the title is fitting but could also be called 'Mixed Emotions', because with each new repeat of the melody and with each new instrument added (such as the bass beat and the synth instruments), it brought up a new emotion for me, very moving and powerful! Is there an 'R&B-Instrumental' genre that you could label this instead? as I didn't know it was an instrumental until I heard it through after about 1 min 30 sec. Lastly, how does it finish? It just ended abrubtly like the recording was cut off? Would love to hear it. Great stuff and well done!!! Very honoured that you sought my input, if i think of anything more specific I'll let you know! :-)
Thank you. I really appreciate your in site. You gave me great reviews before and they were the most helpful in site I've ever gotten since subscribing to broadjam. You should be paid for your services. Honestly!!! I have a lot of respect for you!!!

C-Henn, Thanks for being a member and here are my thoughts on your song "Feelings". This is a tough song to review because it is a nice piece of music. My feedback is more opinion and personal taste, rather than technical input. With a different eq'ing, mixing and mastering job, I could hear parts of this as a background piece in a tv show or film. Probably a more dated scene would be appropriate for this. With that said, we all hear things we would have done differently if it was our piece. Here are the changes I would make if it was my song. Although I love the parts that are being played by the strings (especially at 2:09, I would expand this part and use it more in the song), the "sound" is very dated. When the chorus effect kicks in, it takes me back to the early 80's. I would remove the chorus effect and try and go after a "live" string sound. Some of the string parts don't have a chorus on them. With those, I would slow the attack down and pull back on the high end of the eq and that will bring them a little more up-to-date. Don't get me wrong, I love synthetic strings, but I think they fight with piano throughout the song. They dominate and aren't quite as ear friendly to the other instruments as you probably intended. At 5:04, the chorus is a little too deep and the pitch modulation is a little too wide for my taste. With that said, this entire comment about the strings is taste and personal preference. I write this without knowing the intention of the producer. If the producer was intending an older sound, then they got it right. If they were intending a more current sound, then some tweaking is needed. Drums enter at 1:07. The claps are nice as they sit behind the beat and it gives the song a lazy feel. If I was producing, I would re-write the hat and kick to be less obvious. This is a nice soft piece and they seem to be a little out of sync with the speed at which the rest of song is traveling. From a song perspective, there really isn't a melody that I walk away humming. In some ways, it's a little like George Winston, who I love to listen to. However, he has a strong and memorable melody in every piece. With that said, I did enjoy listening to this. The song is way too long for any serious album or airplay consideration. Definitely create a shorter version. Hope this helps. Best of luck, Roy http://www.broadjam.com/player/player.php?play_file=66690_558380 1
Thanks for reviewing 'Workin on It'. You know I debated on the horn line repeating as it does. I equated that to being in a place that's nice and you don't want to move...more of the same is what you want. Soo... I enjoyed your songs. Nice energy, thick grooves. It's get up out of your seat stuff. Best of luck to you.....
You're the real deal!!! I'm amazed by the professional quality, great musicality, touching lyrics, ease on the ears, and the smooth vocals. I'm an instant fan!!! Love the music
Hey Thanks for listening to You Need Love. Although you are the only one who dislikes the instrumental arrangement, the recording, the mastering, and the production of the track... I understand fully why. I cannot understand your music but then again, thats why we are musicians. Best and many blessings! Wj_W))
Hey. I apologize for any misunderstanding, but I don't dislike your song. I can appreciate all music, appreciate differences in taste of music, and and I try to give an honest opinion of my feelings to try to help. I did like the female vocals a lot. Whoever she is, she has a nice smooth voice. I can also appreciate the fact of your honesty as well and thank you for your criticism. I wish you all the luck in the world with all you endeavors.
Hey I listened to "Into The Unknown" and I liked that one. The Overdrive Lead guitar was PERFECT. I love the way it was introduced in the middle. The synth FX really made the title of the song come to life. I can listen to that one over and over!!! Great song. That song should get placements if it already hasn't.
Thank you kindly. I am proud of that track. My comment was not meant as harsh, I only want to help build up our musicianship in any way possible. I never enjoy all music but try to help with any special talent I might have. Best to you also!
Thank you for high praise of "Warm Rain" . I appreciate your muiscal savvy! Regards Steve Dafoe
Hi C-Henn, I listened to I Rock and I Feel Like Dancing so far, they are both great pieces. I Rock has a good strong melody hook you can get right into, and I Feel Like Dancing is more what I was talking about with Risen, how each section changes to something different even though the same chord progressions are used, mixing it up! Great job!! Glad you appreciated my comments! :-)
I appreciate your review of my instrumental "Risen" so much! The most insight I've received in a long time. It helped alot. Please review some of my other pop songs that are on my page. Thank you so much!
I really appreciate your review of my song "Saved." You have inspired me to write to this song and I shall. Once I have finished this song entirely, I'll make sure to notify you. Be Blessed in Jesus Name!
