Thank you so much Tanya for your kind words of appreciation regarding my music; I consider this a huge compliment. Yes, the Celtic and the Middle Eastern musical flavors connect at times when that they sound completely synonymous, one with the other. Sounds being energy, and the Spirit that creates us all, I believe, can't help but infuse all of the possibilities of that sound, regardless of culture or man's boundries. We are truely all one, and when we tap in, we have an endless array of offerings to and from Spirit. Thank you again beautiful one. And yes, it does feel good, I know!
Very well & beautifully put Cyndi! I will open another window of thought here..you'll be surprised! I have always believed that that common sound between Celtic & Middle Eastern when they do connect with that quarter note may be as a result of interaction from the fact that our ancestors The Phoenicians, have landed & traded in Britain, Scotland & Ireland thousands of years ago...History has proven it..So I like to believe that they have done Music together too! Just a thought :) ..I actually let all your music play while I was working on my laptop, it was very soothing & calming...felt really good..Keep on Rockin' Cyndi!
Oh I totally agree with your throughts about the connection. The ancient trade routes must have been the main artery of art, music, design, as well as basic trade of needs and luxury items. How wonderful it would be to take a trip back in time and to experience those mystical days! Music and geometry, the universal language, aided in expression between different toungues and not interpretation was needed. Yes, I can see the Phoenicians spreading their culture far and wide. I too put on your music last night, and listened to your wonderful energy, while working at my desk. Again, best wishes, and I will continue to follow your work with great interest! Cyndi
....that would be "different tongues", not the afore misspelled mentioned........
I love the way you sense things around us, music, history, poetry, universal language...You have a way with words & you feel things in a very deep manner! I love that about you; no wonder you're a v.talented songwriter ;) Believe you me, I would love to go on that trip back in time that..with you on board:) I'll be following on your success closely too cause you \m/ as a person as well as you do musically!
.....Perhaps we'll find a magic carpet somewhere, sometime, and fly to yesterday!........(-;
We'll have to to Bagdad to buy that Magic Carpet ;) not so safe LOL But hopefully our paths will cross in the near future! Hugs & Kisses coming your way from Lebanon!
Would be wonderful for peace and understanding to come to all the troubled areas of our planet; for all to live, love and work toward The Greater Good, a higher purpose. Perhaps someday...I too hope our paths will cross, and I send to you, many hugs and kisses from Arkansas!
That what we , Lebanese, have been wishing for the last 37 years...to be left alone! But that's the Middle East my dear :) Thank you for your warm & peaceful wishes & your hugs & kisses :)) all coming from a pure heart indeed!
Bless you and stay safe!
You too my dear! God bless you!
I just opened Google Earth, and Beruit looks like a beautiful city, ancient & modern, and facing the sea. There must be so much to do and study there. How I would love to see that part of the world someday. Bless you and stay safe!
Lebanon is on the Meditarranean sea from North to South.Beirut is a very happening city always has been since the 70's..Hollywood stars always made a stop at Beirut, famous for its nightlife...when the war stopped the stars came back & so did the nightlife...It's a Euro/American city fused with the Lebanese flavor! Whenever you feel like dropping by you just say the word & you'll be my guest & we'll do a gig together :))) Bless you too sweetie xoxoxox
Sounds wonderful! During some of the news coverage in the early 90's, I painted my thoughts about the city, and entitled it, "Beruit Burning". I will add it to my photos, after writing. And, my good friend, with whom I play music from time to time, (he's a fabulous keyboardist & bassest), is half Lebonese; his mother came from Beruit many years ago, and married someone from this country. It's a small world! Ah yes, the Meditarranean! I had the good fortune to swim off of the coast of eastern Italy, north of Rome, in a little village on the sea of Cittavecchia, several years ago, while traveling there, and living in Germany. I loved the beautiful waters, and wanted to explore more of the region. Some day perhaps, I shall come back, and I will see you there on the sea, in the beautiful land of Paradise!
Indeed it's a small world & the Lebanese diaspora is scattered everywhere in the world! You are most welcome my dear! The invite is open sincerely..I mean it ..whenever you think you can visit , you have a place to stay & a friend to welcome you...with lots of Good Music to be made ..Together ;) My best to you & your Lebanese friend/Musician Cheers!

Thanks for your generous review of our song Thankful Oblivion! Our vocalist Kaylee says she would be interested in adding vocals to your hard rock demo. Can you e-mail the tracks you have recorded in .wav format so I can import them into my recording program?Let me know! Marty
Thanks Marty and Kaylee that's awesome!! Send me a broadjam email with your address and I'll Organise sending you the backing track separately along with my vocals so you know the tune! Thanks again!
Hi people! loved your song Thankful Oblivion! I wondered if the lead vocalist would be interested in lending their vocals to a rock/heavy rock song i've written with co-writer Adam Maxfield? Their sound is perfect and exactly what we're looking for. It is called End of Me and a rough demo is on my profile page that I have sung, to give an idea of the tune (but I am not a rock singer!). Anyway, let us know! Take care! :-)
Hi Terese, is there some way you can send me the .wav files of the demo so I can import them into my recording software & have our singer lay a vocal track? A copy of the lyrics would also be helpful. Thanks, Marty
Yes sorry, I thought I wrote back! could you broadjam email me your email address so I can send the data! Thanks again!!!
Hi Marty, just following up that you received the files ok? I emailed them last night (my time - now morning) via my hotmail email and yousendit.com for the .wav file. Cheers, Terese!
