Hi Paul, thanks for your response. Glad we got that straightened out. .In California, (well in my area)our kind of music is not that prevalent Maybe where you are they have more Jazz/swing going on. Seems my music is more embraced by Europeans and other foreign places and a few States in the US. I found that out when I was on Jango Airplay. Congrats on you Solo Album. Exciting isn't' it? Talk to you later.
Not much of a jazz scene here either. This town is totally latin.
Eh Cumpari. I did not mean to infer that your Jubilee Song was a low grade arrangement or composition. I liked it, and I believe I said so. I just preferred not to use the box "constructive criticism." It is" challenging" and I had nothing to say Less is More. I don't think I gave any 1's and if I did I will take it back. The rules of broadjam state you do not have to explain 2 & 3's. You, personally. review with scores higher than me and that is great. If I could listen to every song On broadjam, I would, but I don't have time. I just don't want to be labeled a critic like Bill is stating . I wish for everyone in this music business to prosper and get a "hit" song I am not a" Prima Donna", so please accept an apology Ciao.
First of all I have to say I really like your music. After listening to your sounds I was even more surprised by the "1". You can't take it back as broadjam will not allow changes after the submit button is pressed. As I said before, I use 1's and 2's for the worst of the worst. I really didn't think this song was one of the worst. Even if you said you liked it, the numerical score doesn't match the comments. All my songs are my babies which is why I get passionate about them. When people give me constructive criticism, I always go back and listen. Most of the time I will make changes if I think they will make the songs better. We all grow by input from others just as we did studying music in college. Composing is an ever evolving endeavor. I would like to friend you as I do like your music, just not your reviews. Apology accepted.
I am appalled at your review of my song Jubilee. According to your scores this song has absolutely no market potential and the quality of the hook is terrible. These are the lowest scores you could give for those categories. I have previously gotten perfect scores for this song and it has been in a top ten list. If you could have given constructive criticism to justify your scores I could understand. I think this song deserves better.
I personally reserve scores of 1s and 2s for the worst of the worst.
Paul, I've had a few experiences like this and even if you get a response, don't expect a coherent answer. There's always someone who just wants to feel better about their stuff by criticizing yours. I'd ignore it. Bill
Thanks Bill.
I just posted a comment if you wish to read it on my comment page. Paul, I did like your arrangement and song and I said so on the review. I take back the 1; as I stated in my recent comment, if you go take a look at it. I apologized and so on. Bill, you may read the comment too, because I wanted to clear up any misunderstanding. We are all in this business that we love and we want to encourage one another, but we are all different in our scoring. I did not say anything negative that I can see.
hey ANGIE--thanxs for taking a listen to my FUN song--THE PRETTIEST GIRLS ARE IN TENNESSEE--cheers--joe.
You are welcome. I have been to Tennessee. It's been years though. Best Wishes to you! I will try to listen to some of your other songs in the near future!

Since my CD release in 1999 I have been performing mostly at private, corporate events. I do enjoy performing at festivals in Southern California. I was doing more promotion of my original songs in 2007 and 2008,but took a break for a few years. Now I am back on Broadjam so I can revive those songs that your" mom and dad" loved so much. I want to bring some nostalgia back to this music industry. Ciao and God Bless. Angie La Duke
Thank you for the review of "mama was a beauty"( I think). Very confused by all the low points, yet no constructive criticism?
Shelly and Paul, I have been wanting to respond to your comment. I responded to another artist who was also confused and hurt by my scores. I will apologize to you too. You song reminded me of the song "Fancy" that was recorded by a few female artists. I like that song so that was a compliment. I have been away from broadjam for years and don't remember the scoring being so intense and so advantageous to the artist. Things change. As I mentioned to the other artist about constructive criticism comments, I think Less is More. Just because you don't have any comment does not mean you can't score each section according to you view about Ie: vocal, hook, music, etc. After I get going again and review and review and review I will have a better feel for the scoring. I wanted you to know I thought your song and vocals were great. I wish all musicians/vcocalists the best and hope they get a "hit" song. Ciao.
