Col Lewis /Bio
I was born in Burton on Trent Staffordshire and lived in Stafford making a name for myself from an early age in music. My father toured with many famous artist in the 60's playing bass. I have gained a lot of musical talent, not just on bass but also on piano and acoustic guitar. You could say that I have a fine tuned ear for melody. Over a number of years I have played with many bands and line-ups in the music industry and having the most pleasure being a support artist for Paul Young in 2005. My ex band I played bass guitar and harmonies for 'Postcards' supported Mike Badger (Co Founder of the La's) and Proud Mary (Signed on Noel Gallagher's label Big Brother Records).
I also have worked with the great producer Sean Kenny from Ten 21 studio's in Kent and Karl Brazil from the James Blunt band. Karl gave me good and helpful advice in and out of the studio. I have now put all of my experience into my own original song writing, performing on BBC RADIO sessions and local FM radio stations. I have been taking part in the INTERNATIONAL POP OVERTHROW 2010,2011 and now 2012 at 'THE CAVERN' Liverpool, performing on bass guitar for my ex band 'POSTCARDS FROM PLACES THAT DON'T EXIST'. During my hectic schedule I also produced and co wrote a song for Boxer 'CALLUM JOHNSON' CW 2010 Gold medalist. I have also worked with top producer Fran Ashcroft, who has produced The Quarrymen, The La's and many more artists in and out of Abbey Road Studio's. Col is now working along side with Fran Ashcroft on his own solo material and also Automobilia-UK for film and the TV industry.
Col returned to The Cavern Club in May 2015/16 playing under his own name Solo.
