Why I sing
When I breath, when I walk, or work, a song comes to my soul. If I open my mouth and sing; the song keeps coming as long as I let it.So my life and everything that happens to me is my song, my life.
I was born it the coal fields of WV in the first half of the last century. From the cradle I herd the old 'gospels' and hymns of my fathers church. At the age of ten I was allowed to join the choir. My favorite of the old guys is John Lee Hooker the only man I knew who hated rhymes more than I do. I grew up with Ray Charles and Bo Diddly. Ruth Brown and Etta James were on the juke box in those days.
