Billy Bauer Band
The Billy Bauer Band is a Bethlehem, Pennsylvania based acoustic rock group that will leave a crowd feeling energized and wanting more. Their crisp sound and engaging melodies offer a great listening experience to music fans of all ages. Often compared to as an earlier Dave Matthews Band sound, the Billy Bauer Band is available as an acoustic duo or trio all year with electric violinist Chris Lorenzetti, bassist Steve Zalalas, and guitarist/vocalist Billy Bauer. The full band with drums is available during the summer months, or all year with advanced booking arrangements. Along with their original material, typical set lists include many songs from artists such as the Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Johnny Cash, Fuel, Bob Dylan, Howie Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, the Beatles, and more.
Taxi, the worlds leading Independent A&R Company, gives a good insight into the acoustic version of “55” off The Best of Both Worlds: “It reminds me a bit of artists like David Grey, Shawn Colvin, and maybe even John Mayer. That's a cool direction to be heading in. I like how the energy of this tempo and feel of the track match your "traveling" oriented lyric. The acoustic and fiddle instrumentation works well. This is well recorded in that everything is clean and clear sounding.”
Since their formation and first acoustic release, The Best of Both Worlds in December 2005, they have sold CD’s to over 30 US states, and internationally to UK, Canada, Germany, Japan and Australia. In July of 2006, Billy Bauer was one of eight acoustic acts invited to play at the Red Mill Concert Series in Clinton, NJ, surpassing over six hundred acoustic submissions throughout the United States. In September 2006, the band won the final round of the Original Sessions National Band Search at one of New York City’s premiere clubs- R&R Rare. This past November, the Billy Bauer Band performed at the CMJ Music Marathon; one of the worlds premiere Independent Music Festivals taking place in New York City. The band will also be performing just blocks from Times Square this coming New Years Eve.
