Benjamin Hooks a.k.a. Benny No Good. I've been in this game for a minute. Bred in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, N.Y. home of hip hop's greatest' Notorious B.I.G., Jay Z and Big Daddy Kane. My style is influenced by all three as well as the Icons Run-DMC and most recently Ghostface Killah. The group I was in put out a single in 1998 titled "Lifestyles of the Poor with a Fortune", which made a little noise on the underground scene. One of my demo songs "Sparring Session" played for 17 straight weeks on Brooklyn College Radio. Feeling like i'm nearing the end of my career i've decided to put together a few bangers along with my longtime producer Ope a.k.a. O'Asiatic hoping to go out on a good note.

Ben,
Thanks for your review of my song "You and I' It is an old school sounding tune. I wrote it in '96! It definitley could have been recorded better. I wanted to do it up with real bass/gtr/drums but I had a deadline to meet on it. I'm glad you liked the vocals. All of those are me! I am moving forward with other music though, maybe one day I'll revisit the tune and do it up solid. I am old school Brooklyn myself. Live on Long Island now.
I listned to a few of your raps. Very cool. Would love to colaborate. I play a mean bass.....
Have a great 4th . Peace!
