Story Behind The Song

I always want to teach something in my kids songs. The moral of the story in this song is, that if you refuse your child the joy of having a Cat or Dog in their lives, you'll leave them desperately longing for that pet! So much so that they'll have to settle for a PET PINE TREE, a poor substitute for that "normal" pet!

Song Description

This kids unreasonable parents, won't allow her to have a "normal" pet! So instead, the poor child has to settle and make herself happy with of all things, a PET PINE TREE! This delightful song, tells an important lesson. That is that young or maybe even older kids, have little to no say so sometimes, in big family decisions. The longing for a Dog or Cat in the song, or even a chimp, makes this kid both frustrated and unhappy. So parents, the next time your child asks you for a Cat or Dog, PLEASE say YES
