Story Behind The Song
I read a newspaper article that talked about a baby that was born in war torn Iraq after the towers fell. It struck me that this scenario has been happening for thousands of years.
A baby is one of the few signs of hope for anyone in a horrible situation situation. Birth is one of the universal signs that there is always the possibility of new beginning.

Lyrics
This day a baby was born,
To world that's ragged and torn.
No shepherds or wise kings who follow a star,
Like long ago on a Christmas Morn.
See the hope that this new baby brings.
Once again there's a chance we can sing.
Of the joy in each heart ,
Of the love that is born.
(Emanuel... Hallelujah)
Let us be wise like the kings from afar,
Follow the light from a distant star.
Trust in the wonder of life,
And the joy that it brings,
Like long a go on a Christmas morn.
In every child there's a promise of peace.
The Gift to all who will believe.
(Emanuel..... Hallelujah) x2
This day a baby is born,
Like long ago on a Christmas morn.
