Song Description
Forsaken Population is a song about our disenfranchised youth. This is about the teenagers we pass by on the streets, their condition, and our responsibility in the big picture.
It is also aknnowledging the teenagers choice to leave the "adult" world and walk their own path, perhaps before they are ready.
It has a sort of Joni Mitchell-like melody which is sung sweetly to help balance out the edge of the lyric.

Lyrics
FORSAKEN POPULATION
MUSIC BY PETER CALO AND LAUREN KINHAN
LYRICS BY LAUREN KINHAN
THE BOY BEHIND THE CHROMIUM?S IMPARTED ME TO SAY,
THE ART IS IN THE LOOK OF BLAND ATTENTION
AS GENERATIONS SET THE STAGE TO AN APATHETIC PROM;
THE EMBODIMENT OF COOL EMACIATION
THE AVENUES OF LOSING TOUCH
DAWNING ECSTASY
INTRODUCES MODERN PUPPETEERS
EXONERATING HOPE
PROUD ASSOCIATION
AGAINST THE FLOW
FORSAKEN POPULATION
THE RITE OF PASSAGE SOUL-DEFIES AUTHORITATIVE HOLD;
THE PRODUCT OF A YOUTHFUL INCLINATION
AND SO-CALLED GYPSIES VAGABOND WITH A TERMINAL DISEASE;
THE HOPELESS IN A HOPELESS SITUATION.
AND EVERYBODY?S SHIRKING THEIR RESPONSIBILITY
LEAVE?EM HIGH AND DRY TO FEND ALONE.
AND SO THE STORY GOES
DROWNING IN PERMISSION
WE LET THEM GO
FORSAKEN POPULATION
SHROUDED IN YOUR ARMY ISSUES
CAMOUFLAGE THE BOOT WE GAVE YOU
JUDGING FROM THIS BADGE OF HONOR
YOUR TODAY?S NOBODY?S DAUGHTER
AND EVERYBODY?S SHIRKING THEIR RESPONSIBILITY
LEAVE?EM HIGH AND DRY TO FEND ALONE.
LIFE WITHOUT A ROPE
BOLD EMANCIPATION
CROSS THE GREAT DIVIDE
FORSAKEN POPULATION
NO HOPE
PROUD ASSOCIATION
AGAINST THE FLOW
FORSAKEN POPULATION
