Donna Dennihy is a singer-songwriter who writes and performs in upstate New York. Her songs draw from a lifelong creative involvement in music and a love of songwriting. She released her first solo album Early Girl in December 2013.

Donna Dennihy is a singer-songwriter who writes and performs in upstate New York. Her songs draw from a lifelong creative involvement in music and a love of songwriting. Donna's strong co-writing partnership with her bandmate, Edgy Folk's Jon Peterson spans over fifteen years and produced gems that can be heard on their cd Getting Warmer, 2008. Donna's songwriting has evolved into her own style of sweet, poignant songs with simplistic beauty, some humorous and insightful, with a few surprises. Early Girl was recently released in December 2013.

Hi Donna--What a lyric, and what a delivery in your song, Harriet. I clicked on you when I read "edgy" folk and was surprised to see we have a song with the same title, Deep Down. Then I saw Harriet and was doubly-surprised since that's my given name. You were speaking to me in your song list. Terrific lyrics (Harriet) which would be impossible for many singers to deliver, but they roll right off your tongue. Wonderful chorus. For me, your vocals are reminiscent of Emmy Lou Harris, if you don't mind the comparison. She's recorded lots of edgy. All best, Hattie
