She sings in a variety of ranges highlighting her agile riffs/leaps & is a conservatory-trained vocalist (Berklee & Boston Conservatory). She's been gifted with the ability to harmonize by ear, adding ornamentation to any music that "calms and feeds her soul."

Amanda Marie's spark for music has always existed but it exploded after having a private vocal session with American Idol's Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi. Both encouraged her to pursue her unique music style as a balladeer: light & airy AC with a classical flavor. Randy Jackson's heartfelt guidance of inspiration & excitement was shared when he exclaimed that "Amanda will be ready to record after a couple of sessions with Ron Anderson, vocal coach to the stars." Kara DioGuardi inspired Amanda to pursue singing/writing & ended the session with the supportive words "Girl, you have some pipes!"

Amanda Marie Bio

After spending 20 years sharing her talents on stage, the big and small screens singer/songwriter Amanda Marie is now focusing her exceptional elaborate soprano voice on adult contemporary music. Amanda Marie sings in a variety of ranges highlighting her agile riffs and leaps and is a conservatory-trained vocalist. She has been gifted with the ability to harmonize by ear, adding ornamentation to any music that "calms and feeds her soul."

Amanda Marie's spark for music has always existed as evidenced by the number of musicals she's starred in (Evita, Fiddler on the Roof, South Pacific) but it exploded after having a private vocal session with American Idol's Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi. Both encouraged Amanda Marie to pursue her unique music style as a balladeer: light and airy adult contemporary with a classical flavor. Randy Jackson's heartfelt guidance of inspiration and excitement was shared when he exclaimed that "Amanda will be ready to record after a couple of sessions with Ron Anderson, vocal coach to the stars." Kara DioGuardi inspired Amanda Marie to pursue singing and ended the private session with the supportive words "Girl, you have some pipes."

Molding her theatre and classical training (Amanda Marie studied vocal performance at Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory of Music, as well as at Carnegie Mellon University for a short period of time before graduating from Cal State Fullerton with a B.A. in English and a minor in Music) into an Easy Listening/Adult Contemporary vibe would be no easy task, so she took Jackson's advice and signed up to work with acclaimed vocal coach Ron Anderson.

Working with Anderson (Selena Gomez, Alicia Keys, Janet Jackson, Joss Stone) has been an eye opening experience for Amanda Marie. The first time she met with him she was running a little late (due to the notoriously bad Los Angeles traffic) and Ron informed her that they would have to cut their session short because he had to go and give Neil Diamond a lesson. The moment served as a positive reality check for Amanda. Since then Anderson has stimulated and refined her passion for performing music, enveloping her classical vocal training.

Earlier this year Amanda Marie released an EP titled Amancipation. The EP features the singer turning four of her favorite songs into soothing ballads. Leaning on her vocal strengths, Amanda Marie hand-picked four classic records and transformed them into her own, earning comparisons to a young Susan Boyle. The four-song EP runs the gamut from a little known version of "Time After Time" from the late Eva Cassidy to classic rock staple "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" by Journey.

Now that fans have got a taste of Amanda Marie's potential through other artists songs she is currently working on her debut album of all-new original material. As someone who is accustomed to bringing other peoples stories to life, the singer/songwriter is switching gears for her debut by telling her own story. "One thing that I've learned in my theatre training, that I've carried on in my songs as well as singing and performing is there always has to be a small part of you in whatever you are working on," says Amanda Marie.

As Amanda Marie expands her vocal expression and range she is learning to express her ethnic background--she is of Russian, Jewish and Hispanic descent--and eclectic nature through her music. She believes that writing about personal things makes for the best songs. With the gift of an incredible voice and the willingness to show vulnerability, Amanda Marie's impact on the world of music is inevitable.

I love the soundscapes in your recordings! And I'm digging the compositions/song-writing. I do audio mastering in Wisconsin. I wouldn't mind doing a sample mastering job on one of your tracks. If you like what happens I'd love doing an affordable mastering project for you so your music stands out more. Tory - www.worldaudiomastering.net
