Julio Matta is an up and coming songwriter and music arranger with over 25 years of live performance experience. Julio has worked with many entertainment groups such as Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis jr., Gloria Gayner, Jon Akerman, Millie Jackson, Gato Balbieri, Willie Colon, Hector LaVoe, Ben Conga, Al Jarreau, and La Conexcion Latina, a Famous European Latin Group. Julio also recorded on the Passport album by Klaus Dordinger, and recorded in the music sound track to "Him and Me", a German comedy filmed in the United States. Julio Matta has been featured on Stick Magazine and the well-known German Frankisch Night Magazine. Julio Matta has started Music Garden Studios in his quest to write and produce songs for Licensing for TV, Films and Ads, as well as artist in search of songs to complete there musical projects. The Julio Matta Project

Julio Matta, born in New York City, and now residing in Charlotte Hall, MD., has performed in an array of music styles since the mid-70. As a musician, Julio plays keyboards, and percussion and has performed with many well-known artists such as Gato Balbieri, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr., Millie Jackson, Klaus Dordinger from Passport, Willie Colon, Hector LaVoe , Al Jarreau and many others. He recorded on Klaus Dordinger's Passport Album and on the music sound track for the German comedy "Him and Me." He has been featured in Stick Magazine and the well-known German entertainment magazine the "Frankische Night". Julio has now turn to songwriting and production, and attended courses at Berklee. He has formed Music Garden Studios in his quest to write songs for TV, Films, Ads and videos. Julio's first musical production is "Fat Tuesday" a music video on the struggles of the people of New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina and the BP Oil Spill, now playing on YouTube. As a member of Broad jams, Julio is on the market to get his songs and ideas heard and licensed and to find other opportunities to work with songwriters and arranges to grow his music library, and his opportunity for licensing his songs throughout the industry. As a long time performer, Julio's music is influenced by artist such as Sting, The Yellow Jackets, Chick Correa, Mongo Santamaria, Simply Red, Pieces of a Dream, David Sanborn, Carlos Santana and many more. Julio does not claim any specific genra since he enjoys all types of music, which allows him to think outside the box and when writing and composing he enjoys the freedom of mixing ideas from all types of music styles. The Julio Matta Project will consist of both vocal and instrumental compositions from various styles with emphasis in Hip Hop, Rock, Fushion, R&B and New Age.
