Originating from the world of orchestral composition and the classical arts, Kristin Anderson aka “4/56”, was drawn into the world of electronic music early on. She has incorporated the techniques of music-concrete, voltage-controlled synthesis, and computer music programming together with everything from real-time interactive music to multimedia, dance, and video. She is currently focusing her talents on experimental electronica which pushes the boundaries of categorization. Her sound lies somewhere between “serious” and dance, stillness and movement, experimentation and pop.

And that confusion suits her just fine.
