Lillie Kae has been singing and dancing every day of her life. At three years old, she expressed an explicit desire to do just that. At the age of thirteen, the New Jersey native routinely rode a bus into New York City to study dance with Ann Reinking – who, years later, would hire Lillie Kae as the Swing and Dance Captain for the Tony Award-winning Musical, CHICAGO. This came only after years of touring Europe and the United States with various productions such as West Side Story, Evita, Sunset Boulevard and Crazy for You.

In 2005, Lillie Kae embarked on a collaboration with [Jazz Guitarist] Bucky Pizzarelli protégé, Edward Decker. The Duo began studying and experimenting with the influences of Chris Connor, Julie London, Linda Eder, Sarah Vaughn, Rosemary Clooney and Maxine Sullivan. Decker was instrumental in comprising an eccentric repertoire highlighting the drum-less sound first coined by Nat King Cole.
