Leona is classically trained, and has in-depth music theory knowledge on which to draw. She was first in the recording studio at age 9, recording her interpretation of a European composer's work.

Leona has her own home studio, which was put together in 2009, and she works primarily with MixCraft music software. Leona uses a Roland FP-2 keyboard as her midi master control, complementing this with samples and loops.
