David Bryce is a composer/producer living in the Thousand Oaks area of California. Specializing in keyboards and synthesizers, Bryce is also comfortable with guitar, bass and drums. He can (sort of) play some horns, and enjoys singing...but wishes he was better at both.
He has played with and/or done programming for such diverse artists as Keith Emerson, Miles Davis, Lindsay Pagano, Suzanne Ciani and Joe Satriani. He currently plays keyboards for LA area classic rock party band Marilyn's Last Supper, is a member of the rock and roll roots band BigTown, and is a co-founder of the Funky Young Monks recording project.
dB operates his own state of the art professional recording studio where he does music, voice overs and audio production for a variety of friends and clients, and spends more than a bit of time consulting with a very cool assortment of high end professional audio and electronic musical instrument manufacturers.
He also makes an excellent lasagna.
My last two covers records (Gotcha Covered, Still Gotcha Covered) are available on Broadjam, iTunes, Amazon and Rhapsody). Both are selling nicely - thanks for your support! Plus, I just released a new single called "Completed" that's available on all those outlets on the 'net as well.
I'm also playing in two bands now - never had so much fun.
A native Philadelphian, David Bryce has spent most of his professional life in and around music and musical instruments. In addition to stints in all sorts of bands, he started working as a salesguy in a local music store in Boston in the mid-eighties in order to gain a more thorough knowledge of musical equipment as well as to be able to spend all day in a place where the local musicians gathered. It wasn't long before he had transitioned to working for the companies that manufacture musical equipment, where he has held down positions in sales, marketing, R&D and executive management for companies such as Kurzweil Music Systems, Alesis Studio Electronics, ADAM Audio, Dave Smith Instruments, Summit Audio, Bricasti Designs and Empirical Labs.
He currently holds the position of Director of Global Sales and Marketing for Cloud Microphones, and manages North American sales for studio processing manufacturer elysia and keyboard companies Crumar and GSi. He is also the co-founder of software manufaacturer Reverb Foundry.
He is also the founder and co-moderator of Keyboard magazine's online forum at www.musicplayer.com, is a contributing editor and product reviewer for Electronic Musician magazine, and has been known to pen an occasional article for Recording magazine as well.
Bryce loves to travel - he's been to 47 of the 50 states, and has visited more than 30 countries across six continents.
He has been happily married to the lovely and enchanting Rhonda (Bowron) Bryce since 1994. Their only child, the unstoppable force of nature known as Isaac Bryce, was born in 1996.
