I have loved music all my life. I stayed in from recess in kindergarten and messed with the piano and the teacher saw my interest and taught me to play "By The Waters Of Minnetonka" an old Indian love song. After recess I played it for the class to the astonishment of my teacher. I began organ lessons at age 9 and had a wonderful teacher who would play for me, then I would play exactly what he had played. I played the organ in night clubs at age 13 and began writing my own songs at 16. Besides keyboards I also play the 5 string banjo as well as guitar and had the honor of opening for John Hartford at a local venue with the band I was in at the time.
