These tracks range from reflecting on the Big Picture post-9/11 to themes exploring the cycle of addiction and relapse, even specifically the discomfort of groupthink and public spirituality in traditional 12-step ideology, all with fascinating, unconventional arrangements and instrumentation within the pop vein. Eddie George of RadioIo wrote of the album: "In a world of samples, cookie-cutters and retreads, this album is a breath of fresh air. The album sports well-delivered and cleverly inspired lyrics, and ranges from hypnotic ballads to toe-tapping upbeat pop. Greg had the luxury of working with some fine and well-seasoned musicians on this CD, including Gregg Williams (who has worked with Sheryl Crow and produces Dandy Warhols), and Robbie Adams (known for his work with Smashing Pumpkins and U2). All of this has resulted in a quite impressive debut."
