Perpetual E-motion. I hope you enjoy this new selection of my songs, mostly written in the last 12 months with the exception of tracks 10, 11 and 12. The first 9 Tracks are all professionally produced recordings, performed by some of the best musicians and singers in Nashville. I had to get the timing right as Marcia Ramirez spends a lot of time touring as a backing singer with Christopher Cross and Mike Lusk sings and plays bass with Loretta Lynn's touring band. On the whole it's a slightly, more mellow CD than the previous one, but with a harder edge on a couple of my own recordings (tracks 10 - 14), where I play all instruments and sing all parts. Track 10 doesn't really fit with the rest of the album but I thought it should be heard. I recorded this version in 1995 but it was written in 1963, and was the first tune that ever won me a publishing contract (with The Shadows in 1965). Unfortunately it was never released, and it's been a prisoner of the contract ever since. I believe I can reclaim the copyright in 2021! One of the things about getting old is that the sound of your voice can vary throughout the day. Tracks 13 and 14 were both recorded in March 2016 - 'Don't' is my early morning voice; 'Whispering a Dream' is my evening voice. I hadn't intended to include my own version of 'Whispering', but a few people who had already heard it, seem to prefer it over Marcia's rendition, which is everything I had hoped for.
