It was in 2006 when long-time friends and band members Colin Healy(singer-songwriter) and Jacob Bauman(bass player) decided they would officially launch the band "The Republik".
Inspired by music ranging from Dave Matthews Band to Rage Against The Machine and everything in between.

The Republik has performed at tons local venues, including Dania Beach Grill, Paulo's 3's Company in Dania Fl. Capone's Flicker-Lite located in Hollywood, Fl.
On February 14th 2009 The Republik played The Delray Beach Garlic Festival. Ten other nationally famous touring bands played during the weekend, one of which was the Emmy award winning The Los Lonely Boys.
Colin Healy has written three musicals, one of which will be performed at his former High School on Nov 4-6 2009.
May 2009 Our song "Homecoming" was selected for the PhoenixOne Vol.5 Compilation CD.
